The airlines are the backbone of a "healthy economy" and when the airlines suffer we all will experience the trickle down effect Hotels, car-rentals, restaurants, cruiseliners, specialty shops, jobs etc. Get it!You might be wrong, sure some business flying is mandatory, but I would venture to say that the trend since deregulation has been discretionary and vacation type travel. I believe people have made a conscious choice to fly and can easily choose not to fly.

Shut down the NAS(national airspace system)and in one year, all of you airline"experts"will demanding congress reopen no matter what the consequences are.Im a proud American, but we are fat and spoiled. When you cant fly to Vegas for the weekend anymore...........We'll see just how many people will take the industry back, and Ill be willing to bet its quite a few.
