Bruce Springsteen is a BIGTIME lib.
I thought Kid Rock(Michigan's own) was libertarian. I know he's not a lib through, and I think NUGENT influenced him. I know they are friends.

he called himself a republican in the 2000 elections, as for the boss, i dont know squat about him, but the song itself, although perhaps not sung by a patriot, seems patriotic for purpose of this thread.

Tom Petty - "Quit Jammin Me", "I won't back down"(Although I'm afraid he's a lib.)

"God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood. My daughter's class performed this song at a public assembly in our little country town in Tejas in 1986, full choir of little (pre-hormonal) angels in our little auditorium. Background music recorded by my hubby's band. There was not a dry eye in the audience. And to hear it become popular 15 years later.....well, it brought it all home again.

"Okie from Muskogee" - Merle Haggard "I Can't Drive 55" - Sammy Hagar "Cat in the Kettle" - Weird Al Yankovic, a parody to "Cats in the Cradle." "Another One Rides the Bus" - Weird Al, a parody to Queens' "Another One Bites The Dust." "God Bless America" - Kate Smith "Ol' Dogs and Children and Watermelon Wine" - Tom T. Hall "Lift Up Your Heads" - Handel "We're Not Gonna Take It" - Twisted Sister, though he's a lib. "Ain't That America (Little Pink Houses For You And Me)" - John Mellancamp, and that's debateable. "What a Wonderful World" - Louis Armstrong

"Born in the USA" is a song critical of the US, and Reagan in paticular.

Whatever you may think of it, "Born in the USA" is not a patriotic song.
