Betcha a nickel Whampoa is, among many dirty things, a key component of China's drug trade.

Those nice containers used in shipping also make it much easier to smuggle weapons as well. The Chicoms are getting a greater grip on strategic shipping lanes (see the newsmax links about China's ports on the Chicom Watch page). If you haven't read it yet, get a copy of Bill Gertz's book "The China Treat". Gertz goes into detail about China's new found infatuation with controlling shipping lanes (more imortantly, the Panama Canal). Whampoa etc. has been an effective tool in Beijing's hands.

new found
Actually, it's an 'infatuation' that has been going on for quite a while.

Thanks for looking.... I've been warning people for several years there was a coming confluence of events in the Carribean- Panama, Cuba, this stuff in the Bahamas, Central & South America, terrorist groups, revolutionaries, drug runners, and, of course, the Red Chinee....

It's getting *real* interesting!

Recently, it got some unfavorable publicity when a New Yorker sustained a shark attack there and lost a leg.
The US is going to loose more than a leg if we our leaders keep listening to the red team. Remember to boycott "Made in China".

This is the same China, that I was always told, that only cared about China and had no aspirations toward world domination. The question I ask myself is, were all these supposed experts just wrong, or have they been lying all this time? You just can't trust anyone anymore.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to both of you. I feel the Chinese are quite capable of smuggling weapons in such containers.
