Jennings is a "cast member" like all Disney employees - that's all. He has no relevancy whatsoever.

Me too. There is no place I would rather be.
To: keithtoo
You could tell the Texan ABSOLUTELY meant it.
For a second the Texan thought about not responding to Jennings' pestering but then he squared up to Jennings and spoke slowly and deliberately from the heart.
If looks could kill!

Unfortunately, I don't get back there as often as I would like...and I didn't see the guy on TV....but I used to live in Mineral Wells....and those Dallas guys call 'em like they see 'em. Love it!

Somebody tell me how far into the broadcast this is. I can't stand watching him any more than I have to.
To: Fraulein
I can't believe ABC aired it! I can't believe it either. I'm really surprised that clip didn't end up on the cutting room floor. Hmmm. What do you suppose it means?
I'm not sure, but I suspect it means that either an editor was asleep on the job or the clip was left in deliberately to make Dallas and Texas look bad. Keep in mind that "World News Tonight" leads the ratings of the "Big Three" right now. SOMEBODY must like Peter Jennings or that would not be the case. Those who dislike Jennings will applaud the guy in Dallas who told him what for, but those who like him will only see Dallas and Texas as an unfriendly place where visitors aren't welcome. As a native Texan and former resident of Dallas, I think that's a reputation that great city neither wants nor deserves.
Just my $.02

Post #22--well, I bin boycottin' the arrow-gant sumbi+ch now for about 5 years. My wife doesn't complain about not seeing/hearing the nightly, prissy, TV Turd, because the alternative is listening to her hubby turning the air in our place a DEEP BLUE. . .for a solid half hour.

For anyone watching a replay somewhere... it was in the last five minutes of the broadcast. It was the best thing I've seen on TV in ages. I am supposed to be boycotting ABC, but I was too damn lazy to get up and get the remote. Besides, I wasn't listening, I was reading Desecration. But, that little snippet got my attention!

Now Fox is in lock step with all the major TV networks.Just wanted to bump that remark! This morning Fox gave us Geraldo stammering around on his reports on Fox and Friends along with Colmes.
Tonight they gave us another clinton advisor -- this time a security advisor that said how bad security was around nuclear power plants for 2000-2001 and wouldn't reply when Gibson asked him if it had improved since Sep 11th but kept going back to 2000-2001. I kept wondering why Gibson didn't ask him why clinton didn't do anything about it!
At least when I watch CNN I expect a bunch of liberals, but watching liberals on Fox makes me think they are doing a bait and switch -- brought conservatives into watch and then started giving us clintonites and other liberals. Well I have news for Fox -- I can quit watching them as fast as I started watching them. Right now I am kicking myself for going all out to get them on our cable system if I keep seeing what I have been seeing recently.
I will not start out my morning listening to Geraldo and then to throw in Colmes was an added insult this morning!

Oh, my... I'll bet you're right that "Gerald Rivers" is overwhelmed with anticipation of an interview with OBL. It's obvious that I totally misunderstood "Rivers" comments about wanting to kill him because he lost so many friends and acquaintances in the WTC Atrocity.

Of course he's kidding ... AND DON'T CALL HIM SHIRLEY! If we're not careful, this could turn into one of those "I picked a bad time to stop taking amphetamines..." threads.
To: poweqi
I think he could have gotten that man in the street interview/comment just about anywhere.
Hats off to the guy who said it...wish it could have been me.
I think they should ask each media talking head individually to submit to a town hall meeting about their performance. Kind of like the Red Guards and the Khmer Rouge did....no death threats or violence like the Commies... just make them listen to average Americans.
It would be priceless.
