No article though.
If Danny Williams ever gets into trouble, we'll finally find out for sure.
Frankly, I can't see any problem with keeping the DNA of known criminals in a database. It's been going on now for a couple of years in New York and might even help solve future crimes. Besides, you fail to realize that every time you give blood, have blood drawn for tests, etc., your DNA could have already been stored somewhere. Who knows what those lab clerks are doing with our blood? But if you want to worry about something before it's even a reality...knock yourself out! It's just reminiscent of those Democrats who need to fear monger over everything.
And while I'm on the subject of paranoia, what about all those medical clerks and medical transcriptionists who have access to every aspect of your physical and mental health record? Not to mention the bean pickers who have access to your credit report, your personal finances, pin numbers, credit card expenditures. Hell, at any time, any one of these minimum wage telephone operators can tell you where you spent your vacation last year or where you ate dinner last week.
And if you're worried about your email...keep worrying, because anyone of those tech support folks who work for your internet supplier can access your email at any given time. They've got your password to do so.
I just want you to realize that it's not just the government that can delve into every aspect of your life.
P.S. Hope you can sleep okay tonight.
Cute, let the man who orchestrated the assualt on our rights, be in charge of who does and who doesn't go in the database. Why does this not make me feel to good?
I believe they're talking about criminal offenders here. That means individuals who have been convicted of a violent felony. In New York, I believe only convicted sex offenders at this time are required to give up a DNA sample.
Like rapists and child molesters...add those miscreants who kill their victims after they've raped, mutilated and sodomized them.
" Explain why sex offences are so special as to warrant DNA samples and not other violent crimes. Political pandering, perhaps? Whats next? Let me guess, hate crimes?"
Since you don't seem to be aware of the fact, sex crimes include the rape and sodomizing of men, women and children. If that's political pandering in your mind, so be it. And while we're educating you, sex offenses are committed by serial offenders, which means they do it again and again, ergo, the DNA samples to try to match these serial crimes with serial offenders. Oh, and by the way, repeat offenders are more likely to kill their victims rather than leave a witness to identify them.
Hope this helps.
It's probably linked because the Support Dept. of the local welfare agency or Family Court hasn't been able to locate the scumbag who decides he's not going to pay support for the kids he helped bring into the world. When he tries to renew his license (with a new address more than likely), his whereabouts are finally pinpointed. Or do you believe this is "political pandering" too?
