Congrats to the FR Moderator's who work night and day to help make this the best web site
Thanks to all of you who help make this a great web site.
I was really impressed with the plane crash threads. They did a great job keeping them on track.

Bump for the good work of the Moderator's, and here's Private Joe Louis, to tell you their motto:
To: TLBSHOW
I like rough and tumble threads... heated exchanges.. good debate...
Now with the moderators the threat of being thrown off the forum has taken lots of the fun out of this place.

But he also says "tricky use of its and it's". Tricky? For whom? It's means it is, plain and simple, just like what's means what is (or what has.) Oh well, perhaps he's trying to avoid discouraging the maroons. It is tricky in the sense that normally the possessive requires the use of an apostrophe. But since there is a conflict with the contractual form of it is, the possessive form no longer uses the apostrophe, making its an exception to the rule of possessive apostrophes.

RE: #23
Yes, of course, and then, since 1960s is not possessive it doesn't require an apostrophe. I'm learning. (Slowly.)

This is the reason why I rarely click on FR, anymore. No debate, no concepts and no learning. Oh, BTW, you suck horse manure.

I have recently signed up to provide a regular monthly contribution. I would urge everybody else to do the same if they possibly can. You're right. I'm going to sign up, too, now.

This is something I have been meaning to comment on and you have provided me the perfect opportunity with this post. The workload that the Robinson's have kept so that all of us "Freepers" can get our 'fix' is and has always been incredible.
The Sidebar Moderators have done a simply outstanding job. Are they still learning the ropes? You bet - they haven't banned me yet! But, overall I think the quality of discourse remains high. The personal attacks have been reduced and that helps prevent the bullying that has been present on this forum from time to time.
I am impressed at the sacrifice, the contribution and the obvious discernment in their selection. More importantly I would like to believe that their internal review process to determine where they have acted 'wrongly', or against the owner's wishes, or acted inappropriately have been dealt with.
Regards,
TS

This site is absolutely TOPS. Interesting discussions kept reasonably civil, a rarity on the internet. Some great wits on FR also some very smart, fascinating people. Many, many thanks to Jim Robinson and the Monitors who do so much to make it all happen (24 hours a day, too).
I have recently signed up to provide a regular monthly contribution. I would urge everybody else to do the same if they possibly can. Even if it's for a small amount. My own pledge is not huge by any means.

With the most sincere apology to
Pogo,
We have met the enemy and they is them.
n.b.When quoting another, it is best to actually quote them. Thank you; it would save you the shame of being such a small contributor.
