Why in the world did you include ME in that? I butted heads with this cretin on another thread earlier yesterday when he called me a "typical liberal" who was tearing down the country.

It must be tough getting overtime at Burger King nowadays.

You've completely missed my point. If a spouse has become an f head in bunches of ways, then it is he/she that has wrecked the marriage. Using your interpetation one could get married, go to the dark side (become an a$$hole via whatever mechanism he or she employs), then blame their spouse when the spouse trys to continue to flourish and be nurtured. You still have not placed any responsibility on the a$$hole who caused the nightmare in the first place. It's my view that the cheatee is at fault MUCH, not most, of the time. Perhaps the jury could have said, " we find in favor of both parties, $2 mil for the plaintiff for being the "victim" of a naughty fling and in regard to the countersuit, $4 mil for the defendant to be paid by both the plaintiff and the plaintiff's attorney for causing the grief which initiated this affair to begin with...the attorney for enticing the a$$hole to sue..."

If that happens, I am sorry. But, you took a VOW to God and before a legal entity stating for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health. That's the contract. You bust it, you pay. Period.

If I take a contract that says I will pay a person to play football for me, and he turns out not to be so good a football player, yet he never lied to me going in and it was a legal contract, it sticks. I still have to uphold my end of the contract. But, if the football player terminates, or divorces, the contract, he would owe me all the money I paid him, plus what ever the penalty would have been included in the breaching of the contract.

You have me confused with somebody else, cowboy. I've never been married, and if I HAD been the guy I wrote about,I'd have thrown her out on her ass about 9 years earlier.

I am guessing the reason he and her are still married is because they see this thing the way you do,as a business contract. Neither is willing to give up even a small portion of their material goods to be happy. If that's the way they want to live,so be it. It ain't for me,though.

BTW,I would never take a vow "before God",either. I don't believe in God,so such a vow would have no more meaning that taking a vow before "The Great Pumpkin".

I LOVE the Ruling!! Adultry breaks up marriages, & Destroys Lives. ( Yes, My ex- Owes Me Lots Of Child Support ) My state wants me to Hire A Private Eye to Find Him. Also he hasnt tried to see our 2 kids since we divorced. we divorced in Sept. after 8 years. & he married another woman less than 6 months after our divorce. They probalby have kids. His family refuses to give me any info & after he was finally served he quit his job & stated he was going to move out of state. he makes good money too. So when i went to child support they told me i had to give his address & i should hire a private eye. I am Glad The Wife Got The Money !!!!!!

I'm not a Christian, sorry you are wrong again. Besides, religion has nothing to do with this and isn't an operative factor in what is a criminal misuse of taxpayer's hard earned money against their will and the best interests of their own families for the negligent and irresponsible actions of trash that refuse to take care of their own offspring. I repeat, you are free to piss your own income down a rathole of government waste, fraud, corruption, mismanagement, and idiocy, but include me in your ridiculous, inappropriate, and degenerate rewarding of personal irresponsibility and deliberate neglect.

Typical of a juvenile, horse's ass to ridicule honest and legitimate entry level employment while defending and excusing those who engage in welfare fraud, create generational dependency, bastardism, hopelessness, crime, and sponging like parasites off the incomes of other hard working people who have the moral decency, responsibility, and character to take care of their own children. In other words, a typical punk. Such an individual either has to be a parasite himself, an employee of the social welfare bureaucracy, or an imbecile. In any case, such an individual is as lost as he is childish and irrelevant. Of course such a person isn't completely responsible for this kind of intellectual and emotional deficiency as he is no doubt the product of a contemporary, dumbed-down public school's deliberate programming of politically correct left-wing indoctrination, pabulum, and diatribe. I guess that makes me pretty compassionate after all.

Figures you'd use threats having failed to use convincing arguments, logic, or common sense. I never initiate physical violence, but I sure as hell will respond to it, and with lethal force if necessary.

NOW you've got me skeered, you little cretin. I'm just all atremble that such a great "Imperial Warrior" as yourself is now threatening my life. I'll bet you're really "butch" at all the Star Trek conventions.

Here's a tip for you, little boy. No matter WHAT your mama told you,the world doesn't revolve around you,and you ain't as smart OR as "bad" as you think you are. If you were to ever call me a "punk" to my face, you would find this out. I would change your life forever.

I guess you have no problem with other people's misery? They made a promise, find out they got a raw deal and they should be the one to eat crow? You know, it takes more than a sheet of paper and a promise to make a marriage work. Peoples' emotional health and well-being is a little more complicated than a contractual signature. Do you not agree?

Yes, all that you say needs to be taken into account. If you want to be concerned with people's misery, then you have to take into account both sides of the marriage. If one person unilaterally decides to break off the marriage then there is going to be misery for the person being left behind. Also, if there are children in the marriage, then the misery will be compounded. It used to be that a husband and wife would stay together for the sake of the children but now we're so selfish that they don't count any more.

Yes, a marriage is more than a contractual signature. It is a sacred vow before G-d. Marriages should not be entered into lightly and neither should they be broken at a whim.

Did your parents divorce? Mine did while I was still in school. I was glad to see it. It was painful at first but not as painful as watching the emotional abuse going on. There was a sense of relief. Now everyone is happier.

I suppose this applies to agnostics and atheists who marry for tax and health benefits reasons too? How cut and dry. And why the hell would you want to stay with someone who doesn't love you. Talk about an excercize in denial and masochism. People change and not necessarily in the same direction.

Why not just outlaw divorce. I know there are several biblical authoritarians here that would love to see that.
