Have you viewed the OC Register? I dropped that paper approx 2 years ago after 2+ decades. I also believe that they are down. A few good editiorial guys left over the past few years & the women took over & feminized it-IMO. And they never missed the same opportunuty in their editorials to support the illegals.

The situation in Northern California is equally appalling. The SF Chronicle is on the same level as Pravda during Soviet Times. They have published story after story about how ineffective the bombing of Afghanistan has been. We all know what has happened in the past five days. Who can't remember the San Jose Mercury News libel for the story about the CIA selling crack in America. The Examiner is fading away. The Contra Costa Times, which used to be a lone conservative voice, is parroting the liberal line of its corporate owner Knight-Ridder. The Sacramento Bee is another liberal rag. Its awful to live in the West Coast. At least in the East Coast you have the New York Post, Boston Herald, or Washington Times.

I understand that it's gone downhill. I believe that up until about five years ago it was still a fairly good paper.

First, as to the LA Times, it has always been a left wing rag for the 31 years I have lived in So Cal. However, things have taken a significant turn for the worse since the paper was acquired by the Chicago Tribune Co. I would have expected just the opposite.
For years, I subscribed to the OC Register. Then, it became a collection of stories from AP, the NY Times, the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, etc. They had no national or international writers, so they bought the news. Except for the WSJ, all their sources were left wing. And this from a paper that claims it is libertarian.
In desperation, I dropped the Register and tried the Times for a while. Earlier this year, I couldn't stand seeing the Times at my front door every morning and went back to the Register. Unfortunately, the Register can't even cover the local So Cal and Orange County news properly. So now, I am considereing dropping it again.

Yup. The OC Register is also cage-liner material. But to be fair, its support for illegal immigration predates the feminists. The "libertarians" who preceded them were just as bad, and Orange County now reflects the end result of their idiot beliefs.
