Yep, those National Guardsmen should be beating the bushes, and checking vehicles parked in areas where a shot could be made, not doing the "Wooden Indian" act.

Of course, those weekend warrior clerks and cooks would have to be taken to the range to learn to fire their rifles, which I have no doubt have cobwebs in the chambers.

If they even have bolts, or loaded magazines.

Pics of the Guard in Kali had em shown with empty mag wells in both rifles and sidearms......Grey Davis Sucks but then I don't have to tell you that :o) he's wasting Guards time and Americas money he's demanding to offset Kalis spending for this service IMHO.

As to weekend warriors or X-Mas help abilities, I've seen good and bad just as in active duty troops. I know one reservist that looks like his massuse is into escrima he has so many scars from knife fights.

He swears one must accept cuts to score a kill in fine art of Benny Hannah hand to hand. Looking at the scars and knowing his record, I would be hesitant to go up against him with a MP round in a M79 at twenty two feet much less mano e mano with blades.....

Good troops all need range time IMHO at very least once a week if combat arms is not their primary MOS/AFSC/RATE . Eventually all GI's regardless if flying a desk or a ditch will be called upon possibly. Its criminal to not be proficent in ones tools of trade when life is on the line.

Stay Safe ,sorry for the rant ......again :o)
