Where is Tom Ridge? Why haven't we heard from him? Could it be that the information he is getting and is privy to in his new position is indeed pointing to terrorism and they don't want to tell us just yet? Why are we suddenly hearing of an "internal explosion"?

Technically, an engine is "on board" an aircraft, depending on how you look at it, and a turbine jet engine failing catastrophically (which has happened before, of course) is pretty much an "explosion."

Awfully confused right now, I suspect the WH should keep its mouth shut if they did, in fact, say anything. But given that they've got the plane and engine on land, a prelimary cause should be found (relatively) soon as aircraft investigations go.
