What I say is that I don't like Americorps, and if the President wants to endorse it, well, he is the CIC but I won't be very happy about it, because it is run by big government types who are basically using the funds to advance the democrat agenda.

However, what I heard President Bush say and what McCain says he said are two different things. I want to see the PRESIDENT'S statement of endorsement, and I want to see the plan, and then I will have further comment.

I'm not sure if I can agree with this concept on a philisophical level, and it may turn out I don't agree with Bush on this one. Or...it may turn out that I *do* agree with McPain. I just have to see some details, which is where the devil is.

What do I say? I say McLame is a RINO at best, a slimy, spiteful, insufferably arrogant, resentful, shallow, stupid, unreliable excuse for a non-leader. I say anyone who hasn't figured that out is, to put it as nicely as I know how, a slow learner.

I say Bush is a nice guy, and proves over and over again that he is willing to work with anybody... and anything.

I don't know what it means.

I personally think that a draft is needed for specialists including physicians, intel, and IT types.

I think this nonsense is a trial balloon for the real draft.

There is no earthly reason for expansion of Americorps, so more draft-age citizens can spend eighteen months playing basketball with ghetto kids and cleaning up stooled-out senior citizens in a nursing home.

Methinks its the George Bailey type tire-drive activity, designed for feel-good effect --- OR, its a trial balloon for the draft.

And don't get me wrong -- Bush is not as conservative as I would like.

America is not as conservative as I would like, either.

I was kind of disappointed when he read the riot act to all the turbinates in the UN last week -- on the surface I was happy he was kicking ass and taking names -- but then it destroyed my long-term dream of being out of the worthless UN.

Who knows, Bush may learn from this experience that participation in the UN is counterproductive and stupid; without this war he might never have the opportunity to gain this insight.
