Wow, I use a quote referencing Caesar to illustrate a point, and all of a sudden I'm a Caesar worshipper? Nope, no idolatry for me, not now, not never. I'll take the cross, instead. But I understand the point you were trying to make. But again, don't jump to conclusions on what I believe.

I wonder if the neighbor who alleges Cooper was threatening with a gun is the same neighbor who alleged the guy in California was telling people he was a federal marshall, and the next thing he knew, he was shot dead and his house was burned to a crisp.

It's highly unlikely it was the same person.

(They probably ran into each other around the office, though.)

...blazing campfire...
...or blazing saddles, I rarely shrink from a "good" argument.
Of course I usually have to find a "good" argument first. Still looking for the "good" part. I only found nuts and balls this time.
Time to call the shrinks and catchers. Or maybe players...you know, ball players.
Punt!

The AP dispatch neglects to mention the bit about the arresting officers, such as they were, disguising themselves as a truckful of rowdy teenagers to serve the warrant.

I recommend Jesus. He'll get you further than a stick of wood.

No, but the red whale flies at night. Remember, 1 if by moped, 2 if by cheese.

Dang, I think I may have just invited the feds to snoop on me. Good thing I'm not olive-complected(nor is my keyboard).

I have no "readers". Don't speak for me.

Yeah, I got all that already, like about 20 years ago. Been faithful ever since. But that wasn't the point I was trying to make. I hadn't exactly planned on proselytizing on this thread.

As I said before, I never advocated this man's death. I only said that he was not a hero. Jesus forgave the criminal on the cross, but he never proclaimed him a hero and role model. Jesus forgave the woman by the well, but then told her to go and sin no more. Jesus lived among the people, and offered them salvation, but he didn't condone sin, and he didn't ignore sin.

I don`t mind having a license because I expect other road users to know the rules of the road so that they pose less danger to me and the people that ride with me. In turn, they have the right to expect the same of me. Even you DrLiberty, must agree that there has to be a point where one curbs ones personal liberties so as not to endanger others. If I decided that I felt like driving on the left-hand side of the road in your neighbourhood, would you think it was O.K, if I cited personal liberty as the reason for doing so?

Thank you very much for your posts....and I'm glad you've found some who understand and agree with you, as I do. What I don't understand is the number of posters who don't seem to realize that Mr. Cooper was assassinated. Mr. Cooper was not a tax 'protester', he had already won his case in court. These naysayers believing 'he got what he deserved' are either uninformed or ignorant of our constitution....Each newstory on this has a different spin, but why do you try to 'serve a warrant' at midnight? So who exactly is calling himself Caesar? OBTW, the gov't is not a he(nor a she), but rather an entity.
