Ever wonder why the Monica story broke at exactly the moment when the black community and members of the press were beginning to ask some probing questions about Ron Brown's death?

So without Monica, They would have grilled Clinton about Ron Brown? I doubt it.

As for Filegate, Drudge gave it plenty of play. He is not Congress and can't issue subpoenas.

As for Chinagate, Drudge has tumpheted Bill Gertz' books and articles over and over. No one in the "mainstream" press has done so.

A big city paper spends millions of dollars and has thousands of employees. The TV networks (other than Fox) are a kabal for Democrat spin. Drudge is one guy. As such, he has done a remarkable job of publicizing stories the liberals don't want to cover.

Well, I think it is very curious that black entertainment television had just caught Colonel Gormley, the Clinton administration's AFIP stooge, in several outright LIES regarding the evidence of gunshot when Monicagate broke. It is curious that numerous Black leaders, including Jesse himself, were demanding an investigation of Brown's death when Monicagate broke. Then all of a sudden ... NOTHING. No interest whatsoever. ALL eyes were suddenly focused on Monica and her LURID tales. And Ron Brown is the ONE scandal that democRATS and NEW Republicans simply don't want to discuss. They run from the subject like POISON. I wonder why.

As for Filegate, Drudge gave it plenty of play. He is not Congress and can't issue subpoenas.

Ok. But has he ever mentioned that Ray admitted that the ILLEGAL files were STILL in the Whitehouse YEARS after EVERYONE agreed it was against the law for the Whitehouse to have even ONE of them ... YEARS after the FBI and Whitehouse CLAIMED they had been returned? Did he? Did he ever describe Linda Tripp's testimony about the files? Did he ever follow up on the story and DEMAND an accounting of how many there were, whether the contents are still on DNC computers, and whether ANYONE was ever prosecuted? Perhaps he did but I'm afraid that like most in the media he talked about the subject a little then simply "MOVED ON" to the next "story of the day". We have got to fight this tendency to "move on".

As for Chinagate, Drudge has tumpheted Bill Gertz' books and articles over and over. No one in the "mainstream" press has done so.

Ok. Look ... I appreciate what Drudge does now and then too. But to call him our salvation is as ridiculous as saying Judicial Watch/Klayman never accomplished ANYTHING. The fact is, our salvation lies in getting the GOP and Ashcroft to do SOMETHING EFFECTIVE about the crimes committed by the Clinton administration and DNC the last 8 years. It certainly isn't going to come from jumping from one scandal to the next, ad infinitum. We need to demand an investigation of the crimes with the same persistence as a bulldog holds on to its foe. We need to expect the few "conservative" media personalities to stick with an issue until it is resolved. That's one thing I admire about O'Reilly. He can be persistent. I don't think Drudge hyping exit polls is all that worthwhile. It is entertainment.

Drudge is one guy. As such, he has done a remarkable job of publicizing stories the liberals don't want to cover.

Agreed.
