Aw, come on New York, no need to whine. Looks like you may be 2 for 3, Jets are winning, Giants won. Maybe you can bray and bombast about an upcoming Subway Superbowl(smirk, smirk!)

Congrats D-Backs (from a Mariner's fan). The Unit and Schilling remind me of Viola/Blyleven gone nuclear. Shows how important two big studs that throw heat are in the playoffs. Gotta have those guys that make everyone feel comfortable in the batter's box.

We got to miss Babs Streisand do the closing act for the Emmy Awards. Life is GOOD!

Now THAT is the first thing to put a smile on my face since the beginning of the bottom of the ninth. You have my undying gratitude for that reminder!!!! :-)

I agree about Brenly. i thought for sure Randy Johnson would have been brought for the 7th inning. Schilling did well but you could see his pitches really starting to slow down at that point.

I was suprised the Yankees didn't at least congratulate the D-Backs, after all, Arizona is in America!

Hopefully, someone will raise the question, "What if Hollywood threw a party for itself and nobody cared?"

I feel great for Shilling, for Mark Grace, for Matt Williams, for Chuck Finley....for all the veterans who have finally won the big prize! How many great players never even get the chance to win the World Series?

It was a great ride for the Yankees, but IT'S OVER!!!!!!

congrats Dbacks, you're the new florida marlins... i.e. another one-year fluke nestled in between years of Yankee dominance.

Oh, don't be too hard on them - anyone can miss Arizona, all tucked away down there.

Oh, reeeeally...so making sure that Randy Johnson was available tonight wasn't his call?

It was his call, but what took him so long. He left Schilling out there to long to give up the go ahead run. When there Anderson, Witt, Morgan, Bautista left in the pen. And why was Johnson still pitching after the 5th inning yesterday, because Brenly is a idiot. The Yankees were not going to come back yesterday. Brenly knew that Johnson would probably have to pitch today because Schilling was not going to go 9, and his best bet would be Johnson. And he left them out out 2 innings to long.

Apologies to all you Yankee fans but...

Thank God the Yankees did not win again. Anybody but the Yankees. Thank God in heaven not another year of them.
