"I'm surprised Harper did so well."

Not I. The left dominates Hollyweird - usually. But what makes this significant - this was, after all - a union election. That, to me, makes the election even more the harbinger of a shift in political taste in CA.

I've spent twenty plus years working in the studios, all of them - and in the homes of the stars, the directors and the common work-hands of the industry. This - is big. As big as Reagan's election was.

CONGRATULATIONS PRESIDENT GILBERT!

Most of the Florida actors voted for Pat Buchanan by mistake. Katherine Harris is partisan. Gilbert is a selected, not an elected, president. The Supreme Court of the United States is biased.

Is all this good enough to make me an honorary liberal?

"Beauty, brains and so much poise and class!"

There are many with that description in the industry - but, they get short-shrift on parts, work seldom, and are not part of the party-scene. They are the 'untouchables' in the town. Too bad. There was a time that it was the opposite.

Not to mention those in the animated persons community. Why should the small fact that you're not actually alive stop a person from voting.

Melissa Gilbert's campaign website:

I voted for her as the "lesser of two evils".
