Just reported on the 10 PM WBZ radio news broadcast:
FBI is seeking a rental type Ryder Van that was stopped trying to enter the parking garage at the Cambridge Mass Galleria mall at about 7 PM. When the back doors of the van were opened by security personnel, there were 6, 55 gallon drums duct taped to the vans walls along with gas type cans also taped to the walls.
The van then sped off. The FBI is asking for anyone seeing the van with possible license plate of 4789H7 to contact Police or the FBI.

Turns out the Ryder Van with Florida plates was just Al Gore trying to deliver some newly found votes to the Supreme Court.

OK license plates?
That's weird. This is weirder. On October 13 we had this thread:
(Link)Anthrax Letter From St. Petersburg Contains Reference to OKC Bombing
As you will see, a letter address to to a St. Petersburg FL journalist named Troxler threatened, but apparently did not contain anthrax. The letter said:
"Howard Toxler ... 1st case of disease now blow away this dust so you see how the real thing flys. Oklahoma-Ryder Truck! Skyway bridge-18 wheels."
Skyway Bridge is at St. Pete, stretches across Tampa Bay. The thread shows discussion on what the Oklahoma reference meant. Was it a threat of a bombing like OKC, or implying a similar purpose? No one considered it meant a truck from Oklahoma.
Quite a coincidence. By the way, the story has it that there was no anthrax in the letter.

It could very well be duct tape, especially if the walls have slatted boards. Two raps and bingo! But thats not the point, to conclude that this is a hoax based on whether or not duct tape was seen or is feasible is not too smart.

No sweat. I'm into amateur radio so I have lots of practice monitoring garbled communications of all types.

>>If they are only 1% of all muslims in America, then they are 60,000 strong!<<
Let's make it simple: Anyone without an in-date visa has 10 days to report to a detention facility for outprocessing, or they will be shot. Anyone from Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Jordan, Syria, Pakistan or Afghanistan with an in-date visa has fifteen days to report for screening (significant numbers of legal visa holders from these countries are enemies of their governments). Any permanent residents from the above places will be given thirty days to report for screening.
All aliens must register with local police every 1 January, every year.

Anything's possible. If that's the case, I hope they're charged with a felony terrorist hoax.

LOL. BELIEVE ME ... you do not want THIS kind of attention. The Federal Bureau may be Incompetent but they would quite successfully chew your ass up just for fun for making such a false claim.

"there has been a constant police presence- with lights flashing on the mass pike under the prudential tower for weeks" Wow, I didn't know that. I haven't been into town via the Pike in at least 6 months.

I just think that we really need to call and email and tell the White House and Congress Critters that we are not gonna buy or fly until they take some action to remove these "sleepers". I for one am really tired of all the "good" muslim speak. PC is not worth the life of one additional American.
It may be that the time has come to fireup the email blaster and fill up their email boxes. I believe that there are a goodly number of these slugs in the country and the sooner they are gone the better. If the "good" muslims get sent home with them then so be it.

Good ideas, but I'd like to see every visa sponsored by a citizen who would be held legally liable for acts of the sponsoree. Make an allowance for companies to assume that responsibility for business and tourism.

Oh dear, that was ironic. I was joking about the use of darning thread and connecting it to a MIT genius was meant to be funny. But I have many offended people on freerepub already and cannot afford to have MIT alums mad at me. So please accept my meek apologies. As to the "insufferable pricks" I was referring to the Harvard pricks. I am sure the pricks at MIT must be much nicer.

sounds as if the arrest/canine situation is a different issue. haven't heard any updates and keep getting cut off but I'll keep listening as long as I can!
