Just reported on the 10 PM WBZ radio news broadcast:
FBI is seeking a rental type Ryder Van that was stopped trying to enter the parking garage at the Cambridge Mass Galleria mall at about 7 PM. When the back doors of the van were opened by security personnel, there were 6, 55 gallon drums duct taped to the vans walls along with gas type cans also taped to the walls.
The van then sped off. The FBI is asking for anyone seeing the van with possible license plate of 4789H7 to contact Police or the FBI.

Someone just saw a Ryder truck west bound, but I didn't catch the street.

Boston P.D. just broadcast a general alert that reiterated all the same info reported early, adding only that the FBI in Boston are to be informed if the vehicle is stopped.

If the scanner puts the truck on 133, that's mighty close to Seabrook, isn't it?

I just heard it too - Hard to understand, but I did hear the description very clearly.

I really don't think they're interested in ruining our Halloween...they're more interested in killing our kids on Halloween. I don't think they want to kill just a few kids which is why trick-or-treating was safe enough. It would be too easy for people to remember which homes they visited and being arrested for killing only a dozen or so kids isn't what they want to do, they're aiming for thousands or at least hundreds at a time. Malls, schools, or any crowded places will be targets.

I totally agree with you. It seems as if the government is reluctant to stop new visas and cancel existing visas and deport the Muslims currently here on visas.
I think that the biggest hammer that the American people have is to write or call their congress critters and tell them that we will not buy or fly until they start the deportations.
I believe that they are nearly as concerned about the economy as the terrorists.

Depends upon what's in the drums. I don't wanna give any budding terrs an assist, but I can
think of all kinds of nasty stuff to put into a 55 gallon drum and ignite.
I guess we'll find out when a)they catch 'em, or b)they don't catch 'em...in time.

Well now, that is interesting! The Wicca's around me like to smoke dope and dance nude on a full moon....after they read the cards and tea leaves----now maybe they do cast evil spells, but violent? To dang "chicken" to be violent! The guy on the grassy hill...which one? I had just never heard of a right wing radical skin-head Wiccan! At any rate, apparently this was a real attempt to do something, and it could very well have killed hundreds of people, and this can not be tolerated at all! Reward for the security guards! At least they stopped such an attack, and these guys are running, I hope they wreck the truck and blow a hole deep enough to bury themselves! However, I pray they only take out themselves!

Everyone who lives here shops at Kmart, Wal-mart and Target. There really isn't any class envy because we all look like Jaclyn Smith or Kathi Lee. LOL!!

What I don't understand is why the Cable News stations aren't picking this up - It seems like big news to me. A rental truck with possible exposives is flying down highway. Don't you think that is big news?

The nuke plant is between route 1 and 1 A, in NH. I think 133 is E-W, not N-S, since NH is North of Cambridge

Some poor fool doing a DITY move cross-country is gonna get the crap scared out of him when he's surrounded by a SWAT team. (He'll be thinking: Now I've had it. I knew I should've looked closer for those darn Gypsy Moths!)

"I wonder how the Harvard faculty are reacting to this."
Probably already have invitations in the mail inviting the terrorists to dinner.

Oh, I'm not doubting what is taking place, I'm asking why the media silence? This isn't just another spilt powder causes soccer mom to faint story.

According to channel 7 WHDH...two occupants were stopped by mall security and the truck was examined...Oh I see. They were approached by a couple of guys that got beat up all the time in high school, and now have a badge and real honest to god walkie talkie.
Head on out to the country there boys. We'll keep the light on for ya.

Boston P.D. just reported Ryder Van has a Florida registration.

Hey, don't be dissin' duct tape. Its an amazing product. I even have a story about duct tape.
A few years ago, my hubby and I were wondering just how many stories were actually true in like the Weekly World News or some silly publication like that. We picked an article about an airplane down in Argentina that was hit by a bird, and they fixed the wing with 'duct tape'. The plane then went on its merry way. We said, "Yea, right, sure they did". So, we called the company. Manco Duck tape, and asked them if the story was true. Guess what, it was absolutely true. They even sent us a roll of Duck tape.
I won't even get into the story about a Dutch guy we know that refers to duct tape as McGuyver.
