What such an effort would look like is a subject unto itself, but at a minimum it would have to entail the vigilant application of social and political pressure to ensure that Islam is not accorded special status of any kind in this country, the active recruitment of moderate Muslims in the fight against Islamic extremism, a keener monitoring of Muslim organizations with documented links to Islamist activity, including the support of terrorism, and the immediate reform of immigration procedures to prevent a further influx of visitors or residents with any hint of Islamist ideology. Wherever that seditious and totalitarian ideology has gained a foothold in the world, it has wrought havoc, and some societies it has brought to their knees. The preservation of our existing order can no longer be taken for granted; it needs to be fought for.

The fact that our country will never follow these suggestions is why I think we're losing "the War". We may succeed in bombing some dudes over in Afghanistan, but who cares about those guys when the real enemy is within?

American Muslims are dangerous. If they seek the overthrow of our republic to create an Islamic theocracy in America, they must be dealt with harshly. They either swear allegiance to the United States and support our war against terrorism, or they should be prosecuted for sedition.

I've always wondered why muslims would want to live in this country as their culture is totally alien from ours. Don't think there are many American/Europeans that would want to immigrate to the muslim countries, even if the muslim countries allowed them in.

After reading several books about Islam and reading this fine article, I am now convinced that their intentions are not to assimilate but to conquer.

Sure there are some moderate muslims that have embraced this country, but, it appears they are far and few between.

What resists Islam is Christianity. This country was founded in Christianity, and if we're not careful, our founding will be overwhelmed.

Easy. They come over in large groups of families and friends and set up their own little countries in the U.S. And if something doesn't go their way they go crying to our government and we have the spectacle of our government catering to their every wish and desire.

The idea that we should do a better job of screening immigrants has finally gotten some "traction" lately - at the cost of 4000+ dead Americans. Unfortunately, as your excellent post shows, weeding out terrorists and violent criminals from the immigration pool isn't enough when we're importing an entire culture that (as a whole) embraces terrorism and violence.

If Muslims for some reason seize control of America and turn America into a right wing Islamic theocratic society, what will happen to us Christians and our Christian churches? If this article is true, we may be seeing the rise of the Ottoman Empire II again through America. I have read the "Holy" Q'uran and it doesn’t take to kindly to the idea that God has a Son. I do agree that Malcolm X helped convert a generation of blacks to Islam. The only reason of such conversion is because of the association of Christianity to slavery. Lastly, if Islam does gain more influence in America, it will be by converting those who don't know Jesus and converting lukewarm to very cold Christians.
