Ok...so said dude land lines me at 020730NOV01 HRS..relays to me that he will be AWOL because his little GI had sick call and was put on 24hrs QTRS...

So tomorrow after he pulls police of the AO and KP in the mess on the following duty day..I am to show up (or he'll come get me in the HUMMWV) at his quarters at 031800NOV01 for mess and some R&R and maybe some good ole BB.

BUT I did tell him..I'm on the look out for Conduct Unbecoming an Officer and a Gentleman, and if he doesn't conform to the correct UCMJ standards...he'll face an ART 15.

I quit smoking once,,,for about 4 days...on the 5th day??? My co-workers bought me a pack of cigarettes

I know what you mean. I smoked lots of cigarettes until they almost killed me. I have been off cigarettes since Aug. 4, 1997. Note I remember the date... and hour. It is never easy to be off the danged things.

I used them to control tension. I am as you might guess very hyper. And I used nicotine to control it. There are things other than cigarettes that can control the tension but I have found mothing that works as well.

The cigarette Natzi's think the problem is addiction. But I don't think that is the case with either one of us. I think you have plenty enough will power to conquer addiction. It is the need to control the tension that drives us to smoke. And no amount of time not smoking gets rid of the knot in the tummy that the cigarette relieves.

I can't smoke because it would kill me. That is all that keeps me from smoking.
