Talk show host Tom Sullivan just reported that during a press conference Gov. Davis said he was notified that there is evidence that terrorists plan to target the Coronado Bridge (San Diego), the Golden Gate & Bay Bridges (San Francisco) and an LA Bridge (didn't catch the name) tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 2nd.

There aren't any bridges in LA.

I mean none like the Bay Bridge or Golden Gate Bridge.

I believe that November 2nd is the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, which opened the way for a Jewish homeland. I don't doubt that these threats are credible.

Yep, it's that bridge over the raging (2 ft wide and 2 inches deep) Los Angeles River.

Yes. And September 11, 1922 was the date of the start of the British mandate for Palestine which was the implementation of the Balfour declaration.

What's that bridge near Long Beach? If memory serves, there is also a bridge into Pasadena, and a couple on the Arroyo Seco. Also, if we're talking about terrorist-speak, they might not know the difference between a bridge and an overpass.

"We have a bridge in LA? News to me!"

Is it the smog that's causing your problem?

The LA Lakers......bridges, bridges, all those lakes to cross!

Hmm...not a lot of traffic on that bridge (on the Terminal Island Freeway). I'd bet not a lot of people here in LA have ever been on it or even know of it!

Just an editorial note:

Personally I think posts like yours are worthless. That's nothing personal, because you aren't the only one by far, but posting what you HEARD on a radio show to which most others do not have access, quoting a "talk-show host" (I assume) who could be credible, or could be a loony like Art Bell or Michael Savage, communicates no useful information.

For example, IS there a major bridge in Los Angeles? I thought L.A. had no harbor or port, no major ravines, hence no place for a "signature bridge" (as we call it in the bridge business).

Anyway, there's lots of info running around out there. 99% of it is bullsh*t. I'd think long and hard about adding to that manure pile.

So Davis will no doubt have these terrorists arrested in California, becoming a hero and saving his political career. Hmmm...
