Crowd Goes Nuts Over President Bush At Yankee Stadium
Fox ^

Posted on 10/30/2001 4:27:15 PM PST by hawaiian

I hope everyone just got a chance to see President Bush just now at the World Series. The whole crowd was chanting "USA" and giving him a standing ovation. He threw a perfect strike, and he was absolutely magical.

What's a "Bald Eagle" flying the field?

I am a sucker for flyovers. There is nothing more apectacular than watching a flyover. Power. Security. Might.

God Bless America!

Imagine the crowd reaction if Hillary had gone out on the field.

They'd still be cleaning up the debris. Rotten fruit, shoes, dead animals......

Isn't it pathetic that the senator of NY, a "Yankee fan", isn't welcome at the NY stadium?
Delicious!

I hope Hillary throws out the first pitch tomorrow.

That would be a laugh.

It says a lot: W went to Yankee Stadium after a terrorist attack in NYC and a thwarted attack on the White House and Livia Rodham won't go because she is afraid of some jeering.

Who would have thought a woman with such a big butt could be so small?

I am so proud of our President. You know it was a morale-booster for players and fans alike for him to get out there on that pitchers mound, with threats all around, complete with FDNY jacket. That terrific pitch just made it all the more poignant. Message: You're not going to rattle us, OBL. (Loved the eagle after the National Anthem, too! Beautiful!!)

Oh Yes. It was so beautiful, the reaction he got. And he was teared up too. The eagles were great, also. What a night. What a man. What a country. God Bless America.

Now, go Yankees!!

The President walks out to the mound, no secret service, all alone, and he throws a perfect strike. Yet he was not alone, we were all with him. The eagle flies down to the field. May God bless America.

Beautiful, confident moment, after a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner - the best one I've heard all season.

That's my Bush!

Maybe now he will see the error of his thinking in trying to hide Cheney deeper than Bin Laden. The people want to see their leaders up front and unafraid.

Personally, I think its prudent that they take turns hiding. Cheney hides while Bush goes public and Bush is under cover while Cheney is in public. Got to cover all the bases.

And many of us at home were praying and holding our collective breaths. My dem relatives from Dash-All country have been won over by Dubya. They were really concerned for him. Love is contagious. He doesn't stand in one spot for very long and then whisked away. I bet ss asked Fox not to show him mingling with the crowd.

I couldn't get onto FR all day long. Were they doing some maintenance or something?

I see you just joined FR yesterday. Welcome.
Most of us think it is a good idea to keep our leaders in seperate locations during this time. I'm pleased someone has the foresight to protect them and us while that freak Osama and his ignorant henchmen are still on the loose.
