Imagine the crowd reaction if Hillary had gone out on the field.

THEY WOULD'VE BOOED and that is why she stayed and will stay in Washington this whole series. As for FIRST LADY LAURA BUSH she was on Regis this morn and didn't get ANY BOOS. She was her lovely gracious self and the crowd loved her just as we all do.

Some of the microwave media couldn't think of anything else to bad mouth him about so they kept reporting that they hoped he was practicing because he probably couldn't get the ball to the plate.

Too funny. Well he showed them.

If I recall correctly, Challenger the Eagle also took a "bite out of crime" when he nipped Bill Clinton with his beak at a White House ceremony. It was a great clip but didn't get much media reporting. Dittomom made a great stealth sign depicting the incident to greet Clinton's motorcade when he visited Arizona. Great bird, great memory.

That's not the last time our homeland was invaded it was in the early 1900's by Pancho Villa in Columbus, NM. Black Jack Pershing was the general.

You're so right, Karl!
The first time I saw War Eagle VI fly was 2000, maybe the Georgia game at night. It was so beautiful and inspiring to this long-time Auburn fan that I had tears in my eyes.
The nation got to see what we do every home game.
Is this a GREAT country, or what?

I hope everyone just got a chance to see President Bush just now at the World Series. The whole crowd was chanting "USA" and giving him a standing ovation. He threw a perfect strike, and he was absolutely magical.

No, I was too busy looking for Senator KKKlintoon. I guess I must have missed "it"... :-]

I'm sure Hitlery was too busy molting or shedding her skin or slithering around in her effluvial liar to attend...

If I recall correctly, Challenger the Eagle also took a "bite out of crime"...

Being a bird "owner" (they actually "own" the "owners") and having had several large parrots - Blue and Golds - I can tell you that "Challenger" has a lot more sense and class than most would give him credit for. That beak is especially made for cutting and tearing meat. If that eagle had actually "bit" Klintoon, he would be minus most of his hand- and it would have taken all of about a millisecond for it to happen!

According to the stories, he didn't even break the skin on Klintoon's hand. One of my blue and gold macaw's was an extremely gentle bird, but if I teased her or played with her beyond her desire to play, she would grab my hand or finger with lightning speed and push it away, in effect telling me that she was done playing or "buzz off"! She never bit me or broke any skin doing it.

But I could hold up a piece of 2x2 wood, and she could tear off a chunk of it with no trouble at all... or crack open a brazil nut with little effort.

So it is very obvious to me that Challenger was letting Klintoon know exactly how he felt! And having had many parrots, I've found that anyone who equates them with "bird brains" is sadly mistaken. Like mnay animals, he probably had a great sense of the true Klintoon character and was just letting everyone know about it.

I have read all those descriptions on this thread of W's actions tonight and wished I'd been able to see it.

Additionally, I live not a long ways from two major military bases... one Army and one Air Force. The artillery practice shakes my house and often can be rather annoying. However, there was some rather active, continuous shelling practice today and this evening, and for some reason it seemed... ummmm... comforting, rather than annoying. All I could think of was that I would love it if there were Taliwackers under each and every one of them explosions. Hope our guys are getting a lot of good practice so when they go over there, their aim will be right on!
