I think there is something to what the article says. My diet has always been high in fat, meats and dairy [I especially love bacon and ham and milk], yet my cholesterol levels have remained the same, quite low, over the years, and there's no evidence of heart disease. My doctor nearly had a heart attack, though, when I finally 'fessed up. I think there's probably a genetic component to heart disease, and probably other factors not yet understood.
