I bet the FBI found anthrax at the CDC LOL!...that's good! An element of truth in all good sarcasm...:)

So? Get tired of it! You'd be the very first to scream if something happened and you hadn't been warned.
All the Bush Administration has said is that they will err on the side of caution in making these warnings.
I have an idea! If you don't want to know what Ashcroft has to say, don't listen!

Ashcroft: "0.0% financing on new cars expires on 10/31/01. Get out there and do your part!"

Every time I book a new plane trip another "warning" is issued. For crying out loud, unless they have specifics this time I'm going to be mighty p!ssed off! No need to unnecessarily worry us flyers. We are on alert anyway, and fuzzy warnings like this only imply they know something specific.

A new terror alert usually means one of two things: 1) They have identified something that is in the mail system and are certain it will be delivered in the next few days (that's exactly what the last warning was all about), or 2) The FBI has no idea what the f#ck it is doing and is simply covering it's @ss in case something does happen.
When the FBI issues these warnings they had better start getting more specific, because these vague statements are not very effective. It's hard to "be vigilant" at every waking moment if you have no idea what you are looking for.

The past several years, there's been a new sucky ad-hoc "holliday" of sorts the day before helloween, called "devil's night", during which young vermin go around setting fires and f'ing with people in general in whatever way they can manage.
Given the current situation at hand, it can't be a "good thing". Which is to say it may very well be a much worst thing than normal. In many communities, it's not unusual for decent folks to spend some quality time into the wee hours on the porch with with Mr. Mossburg or Mr. Remington.

I'm tired of it all. We will always have to be vigilent but this daily "more to come" is getting freaky. Take a week off and go to Cancun.

Ashcroft has labeled the rights stealing bastards in the senate as terrorists and hes called in air strikes?
To: Azzurri
I agree....so i hope this is a REALLY credible threat warning...but that sounds like i'm hoping for an act of terrorism....i'm confused...

I"m on th Yahoo chat site, and will set up a feed...at worst, repeat word for word the Ashcroft release, if anyone is TV or radio deprived. No commentary.

Unless Ashcroft is more specific than before, he is just covering his and Bush's precious ass, and whatever he says should be translated as:
"Something bad may happen and we don't want the voters to think the federal government failed to warn them, or is helpless, incapable and panicking. And please don't vote for McCain in the 2004 primaries or Leiberman in the 2004 general election."
