I heard it a few minutes ago on ABC radio news as well. I think they said spores were found in a diplomatic pouch.

The first anthrax contamination has been found outside the US - in an American diplomatic building in Peru. It comes just moments after the bacteria was also detected in the US Supreme Court.
Traces of the deadly disease were found both in a building in Lima and in the Supreme Court's basement mailroom.
The bundle of mail in Lima came from a US sorting office in Brentwood - two postal workers from that mail room died last week.
The spread of the disease is adding to a growing list of government buildings infected. The State Department has already tested positive.

No, the Brentwood mail facility in DC. On the other hand, the tin foil people may say OJ has a role in this.

It's probably just some ultra right-wing group in Peru < /sarcasm>

Hmmm. My company recently laid off someone from Peru.
She was kind of like bacteria... only much, much louder and more annoying.

Quick. Everyone in DC start mailing letters to Iraq.
That way they'll get their own traces of anthrax.

I dont have my tin foil hat on BUT If this report is true and there isn't a "letter" with anthrax in the diplomatic pouch to Peru, I wonder how many ordinary people's mail was also contaminated in the Brentwood facility.

We'll find out when more Americans start dying of anthrax, like the postal worker who collapsed in church on a Sunday and died the next day.

Was the anthrax inside the pouch, inside a single letter in the pouch or on the outside of the pouch?

Yup, Peru sure is high on the list of priorities on the radar screen of your average VRWC dude....
Clearly the VRWC must remain the #1 suspects... < /sarcasm >

I heard it was on the inside not outside. Why don't they just stop testing and start decon foaming these places?
