ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Hundreds of demonstrators gathered on the steps of the state Capitol on a sunny but chilly Saturday to protest the U.S. military response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Under the banner of " Say No to War, Say Yes to Global Justice, " speakers condemned the attacks on New York and Washington, but said the bombing of Afghanistan will not make America safer.

It was a good freep. At one point one of the speakers went off on a tangent that had nothing to do with the current situation in Afghanistan and rambled on about how as a black person in Minneapolis he was subjected to hate all the time from cops.
The FReepers and others who were there started chanting, "We like cops". The MN State Troopers who were there to maintain order all turned around and smiled and laughed their support of us.
