This was at a small college. I believe that the point of view of this article, as well as many of its "facts" are merde, if you'll pardon my French, and I suspect that most Freepers would agree with me. But I'm looking for sourced facts I can use for rebuttal that cannot be taken as opinion or simply a matter of interpretation. Can you help me? Let's do some serious flaming!

Don't be a slave to your beliefs about what a government could or could not do. History is full of governments that perpetrated monumental frauds upon their own people to trigger a war. Governments HAVE to commit fraud to start a war because most people, especially Americans, refuse to initiate a war of conquest. They have to have the illusion they have been attacked first.

Is this immoral twit suggesting that the hijackings and crashes that occurred on September 11th didn't really occur? Tell that to the families of 5,000+ people! And how, pray tell, would this a$$hole claim that America attacked first?

Well, I think there are some good points in this one. Some crapola, but I sincerely hope that a free people would indeed question what is going on, read between the lines, and avoid being herded like chattle--lest we go to sleep and be led to doomsday. Like I've said before here in Freeperville, I don't trust ANY powermongering politician--not one. Stay conscious folks. Like it or not, to a free people, the vigilent pursuit of truth is more important than patriotism.

"Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels - men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, may we never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion." --Dwight D. Eisenhower

"...and one was apparently and thankfully shot down before it could reach its target."

This was done by an anti-capitalist, an anti-American, or an anarchist.

Men who stole the identities of Islamic fundamentalists???

MAJOR BARF ALERT!!!

I don't think this person(s) has any hope of being persuaded by 'FACTS' they will choose not to see or believe.

Our government sold Saddam the first of his biological weapons. Then our government decided they didn't need him any more, told him it would be okay if he invaded Kuwait and declared war on him, blowing up the Supergun and the biological weapons (we hope).

April 1998 - William Blum, lots of info from the Senate report -- names of companies that shipped bio-chem weaponry stuff, what was shipped, interesting tidbit that the head of the GWSyndrome report that dismissed any links between GWS and bio-chem weaponry also happened to be the director of one of the companies that was shipping the bio-chem weaponry during the time they were shipping it:

Most Americans listening to the President did not know that the United States supplied Iraq with much of the raw material for creating a chemical and biological warfare program. Nor did the media report that U.S. companies sold Iraq more than $1 billion worth of the components needed to build nuclear weapons and diverse types of missiles, including the infamous Scud.

When Iraq engaged in chemical and biological warfare in the 1980s, barely a peep of moral outrage could be heard from Washington, as it kept supplying Saddam with the materials he needed to build weapons.

----------------------

Interestingly, several DEFENSE contractors who sent computers, lasers, test & analysis equipment, instruments and hardware vital to the manufacture of NUCLEAR weapons, missiles and delivery systems pleaded before the Senate, that they, the DEFENSE CONTRACTORS, had no idea Iraq would use these products for military purposes. /barf!!!!!!

See also The Observer (UK), January 1998 American investigators have established that several shipments of biological material, including 21 batches of anthrax , were licensed for export from the US to Iraq between 1985 and 1988. They were sent to the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Trade in Baghdad.

RONALD REAGAN 1980-1988.

On a personal note, I worked around Security Assistance, i.e., the folks that handle the sales of military equipment and training. The biggest joke there was that we (America) had trained every single despot on the planet, including Saddam.
