. "The need for vengeance is very strong in some human hearts, and someone who tries to pacify that need often becomes its next target."

The need for a violent response in this case is not because of a need for vengeance, it is a rational need to put a stop to the mass killings. If we don't take these necessary steps now, my dear Kathleen, you may be next.

Which Army?

You certainly aren't a gentleman.

Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.

"I've been screamed at, called a 'traitor' and, in one instance, threatened with physical violence,.... If the shoe fits!

Jesus Christ was peaceful when he was on earth, but when he returns, he will be on a white horse and carrying a sword. As for Ghandi, India just started shooting over Kashmir, I'd say that makes Ghandi a failure. Martin Luther King Jr.'s crudade was at first a good thing, but now its a cheerlead for Democrats, John Lennon was a socialist freak musician. We all know how peaceful socialism is.

Kathy's philosophy is suicide for America.

Oh! PO-LEEEEZE! Every good and decent gentleman I know will express similar words! If you think for one moment that we will ever stand down to the likes of those who spat in the face of our military after Vietnam, paraded the likes of the Clintoons before us who love peace and justice as much as the next guy....but who differ vastly inasmuch as they have the GUTS necessary to stand up and protect your right to be an idiot!....you are very wrong! The peaceniks of today and yesterday are irrelevant!

She is a member of a small minority of Americans who believe our nation should not conduct a military war on terrorism - just a financial and diplomatic one.

Does anyone think she might be part of group of people who complain about the sanctions we place on places like Iraq, or could place on Afghanistan, while it's the leaders of these despot countries that cause the most harm to its people?

i agree this is not about vengeance it's about self-preservation, the other side isn't looking for a political solution. the deal with pacifists is they beleive the other side is wanting peace and if we could just get together we could make everyone happy, that didn't work with hitler and it won't work here. they are not bad people, in the past and in the future there will be legitimate times when their help is needed to moderate blood thirsty governments, here unfortunately it is the other side that has the thirst for blood. our blood.

"Let me be the first to respond. Katy is a stupid, dumb bitch, socialist, communist, wind bag. There that should cover it."

So good, it needed to be said twice.

I would defend to my death her right to free speech. I would also defend to my death my right to free speech and to confront this traitor and shout "Traitor!" at the top of my lungs at her. This IS NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK! This is a response to evil that takes the form of so-called pacifism that is extremely dangerous to my well-being these days.

I will confront these traitors anywhere they congregate. If they think anti-war protest is going to be a fun, touchy feely day's work we'll try to bring the reality of that first attack on America home to them.

It goes without saying that violence is not the answer to these stupid naive misguided souls. Verbal confrontation is. A thousand people yelling "Traitors all!" to a thousand of these traitors should do the trick.

in the case of Christ, religiously worshipped

This is the new-age version of Jesus, not the Jesus found in the Bible.

Jesus did preach peace and loving your neighbor, but he did not say never be a solidier, or that all wars were unjust.

There are numerous instances of soldiers in the New Testament, never is there any condemnation of the fact that they were soldiers.

Check the last part of Revelation. Not only does Jesus come back and lead an army, he does all of the fighting.

As individuals we are not to get justice on our own. Governements were created to do that. Sometimes that includes war.

"The Just Shall Live By Faith" Recalling the Sept. 11th of an earlier time.

A case for a 'right war' with a 'right heart'.

God has already 'won' this war. Just being sure that we all agree that we have 'One Nation Under God'.

If she wants to emulate John Lennon's peaceful practices, she'd better start slapping her spouse around.

That exactly how Sgt. Up Ying Yang described the Fulung Gong 80 year old women as he draggd her by the hair into the army van. I take it you are not a compassionate republican?
