Just out of curiousity...how would you have gotten spares for the Sabre Jets once the US stopped shipping them to you?

The US shipped us all the spares we needed - whole planes, that is. The US made about 6000 of them, but when they started making the new designs, they gave us all we needed for flying and parts.

That was then - this is now - I'm a genuine, certified, U.S. citizen now, and damned glad of it! That one Lancaster that we had is now on a pedestal in Jackson Park in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the CF-86s are probably Labatts cans.

There is another Lancaster flying again, though. Stay well...FRegards
