As "SIR Olson" HAS to know, (Well, DAMN, after all he has done & sacrificed for our Battered Republic--He DESERVES SOME SORT of "Honorific!") there are tens of thousands of Americans who regard Barbara Olson's "Work" to be CRUCIAL INFORMATION as our Nation begins to remember its origins & Values--& its WORTH to the maturation of Life on our fragile World.

THERE IS NO HOPE for life of "Earth-Origin" if we CANNOT cooperate to get what passes for "Intelligent Life" OFF-PLANET before the next "Killer Asteroid/Comet/Meteor!"

Barbara stood for "Political Honesty!" We FReepers LOVED her Courage, as she Dissected political lies for us--& attempted to give us (her fellow citizens) a factual basis for our political decisions.

If we are to survive as a species (let, alone, a culture.., or a "Life Form,") we NEED to know TRUTH!

We are at FAR MORE RISK as a Species than as a political Entity.

We need TRUTH for BOTH struggles!

Mrs Olson "Spoke TRUTH to POWER!;" There IS no "Higher Calling!!"

IF "we" survive, "Barbara Olson" should become a Legend.

It really is hard to think that Barbara is not among us. I will never, ever forget how brave Ted Olson was - to go before the cameras, when he was in such deep grief.

For two years, we Freepers who were in the bar in the Hilton, just after the WH Press Dinner, were delighted to see this wonderful couple who spent a few minutes with us. I will always remember Barbara this way - with her husband.

Bless them both.

Thanks Howlin. Makes me cry to know she was here and I miss her so much. You knew her , I only knew her on TV but I loved and respected her just the same.

She will be missed forever. No one can replace her . no one.

Thanks for posting this heartfelt message. This has been a season of loss, but it has brought out our strength and love of America like nothing else in our lifetime.

At the memorial service for Barbara, a Washington Post reporter commented on how brave it was for Ted to stand outside in front of the church as he accepted the condolences of the many friends of him and Barbara.

Ted stood there for more than an hour in the bright sunshine, taking great comfort from their friends and giving them strength in return. He spoke with everyone who wished to speak with him that day.

I'll always remember that day, and I'll never forget Barbara's bravery, her patriotism and her zest for life.
