What you heard is "We are not ready to fight Iraq." That's what's between the lines. Bush et. al. are worried that an attack on Iraq will galvanize the Muslims against us. So he, et. al. are sweeping the connections under the rug.

Please. The Arab world clubbed together and paid the United States $50 billion to kick Iraq out of Kuwait. Nobody wants a psychopath as a next-door-neighbour.

We are dallying about hitting Iraq because, through this escalating anthrax terror campaign, Saddam has signalled to us that he has succesfully forward positioned agents with weapons of mass destruction on US soil. From a balance-of-power standpoint, it's just as if he had nuclear-tipped ICBMs pointed at America.

That’s a gross exagerration. A weapon that has killed exactly one person so far can hardly be called a weapon of mass destruction, and it is certainly not comparable to a nuclear ICBM.

(BTW, Sarah Brady just called, she wants her hyperbole back. 8-)

The governments don't. Their nutbag citizens do, so long as it's "Good for Islam."

I can see the point of this, but he can't kill all of us. All the more reason that we have to get rid of him, and then start weeding out all those in this country who are not loyal to the US. The sooner the better!
