The media may be free to air whatever it wants- but the airways belong to the federal government. Really? The only thing that the federal government "possesses" is the District of Columbia. The airwaves are public domain...the government "regulates" the airwaves, it doesn't "own" them.

If the government doesn't own the airwaves, why do they auction them off regularly to the tune of billions? How can you sell what you don't own? Gee some media groups need to call someone at the DOJ in order to get a lot of their money back. I did not realize that regulation of airwaves had nothing to do with selling them.
