Looks like a drop tank to me. I have some experience working for General Dynamics in Comparative Vehicle Analysis.

I'm no expert but I'll guess: This is too big to be a standard "dumb" bomb and shape doesn't match either FAE, "daisy cutter", or "bunker-buster" types (large special purpose bombs).

If it is a UXB, it would have to weigh at least 2000 lbs. If you drop something that heavy from 30K feet, it would bury itself in the ground at least six feet. This object is laying on top of the ground, which tells me it's empty space inside.

It's what's left of their missle that requires (required) 30 trucks to carry.

Definately a drop tank. I was wondering when someone would post a pic of the thing. Dumb news reporters!

Looks to me to be a "keep tank", they may be referred to as drop tanks, but the past reality has always been to KEEP them.

It is difficult to see, but there do appear to be three ports between the lugs, that would be consistent with an external fuel tank.

How it got on the ground is a mystery...could have been a switchology problem....

It's the dreaded CHEMTRAIL dispenser tank, obviously emptied out of its nefarious contents.

I'm looking at the relative scale of that thing......it looks to be over 7-8 FEET in diameter, based on the apparent image of the man behind it.

Unless the camera was using a fisheye (distorting) lens, or was shot from high overhead looking down into a valley/ditch while the man was standing below, that things is over twenty feet long!

Believe it or not, I think both of these pictures are of the same object.

I saw a pic of that same ordnance from the back, and the rear was squared-off or broken-off. I think it was a Taliban AA missile or tactical surface missile that was broken-in-two as a result of our bunker and cave attacks yesterday that caused a hugh almost-nuke-looking secondary explosion that flashed and burned for about 4 1/2 hours afterward.

We hit something very big in that cave! And the "collarteral damage" the Taliban is crying about was caused by their own weapons raining back down on them mostely.

I also think that the Taliban pixel people (or the commies at US News) have been playing with that photo... either that or, the cobbles in Kabul are very large, or they have 5" midgets living there.

If the US press (or the Taliban) is doctoring these photos to exploit the so-called "collateral civilian damage," this pic is a HUGH story!

Yo!!! Wake up out there? Anybody home in the 6% of the media who voted for a conservative candidate at least once in their life? Hello??? Anybody???
