Gee, the writer must have watched FrontLine this week. Since when was the Brotherhood non-violent? Zawahiri was misunderstood? What tripe.

When I glanced at this article, I think of the joke going around Egypt now.
The joke is George Tenant must be an Egyptian. Because only an Egyptian could screw up like Tenant and still keep his job!
That is probably some incredible Egyptian insight behind the so called masterminds of Egypt.
This is probably smoke to distract us from the really bad guys in Irag, Iran, Syria, the Sudan, Lybia, Palistine and last but not least the super rich Saudi Arabs who have been financing OBL for at least 7 years!

Fester rambles a tad r.e. interventionism and an Islamic state:
As of 9/11/01 etc. they "intervened" in the USA in a horrorific way. Since our Consitution insures religious tolerance, could we tolerate a state where Taliban types could practice their religion without undue encumbrances? Obviously not if they insist on taking their faith to the rest of us militantly.

Re #4 It is ironic that, aside from Palestine, the two most radicalized countries in MidEast are Egypt and Saud Arabia. Egypt's Al-Jihad merged with Al-Qaeda. Despite $ 5 billion a year, Egypt has become more militant than Libya or Syria. Despite vast oil income, Saudi's mass became more radicalized. When Arab-Afghans expelled Soviets from Afghan, people did not realize that it gave these Arabs the confidence that they can beat even a superpower, albeit with the help of U.S.. So they redirect their attention to the rest of the world, especially U.S. To command respect, they are now willing to slaughter theirs as well as ours in millions. This is a "Hashashin" operation on globale scale. The "Old Man of the Mountain" must be proud of him. But, Al Qaeda could be obliterated by the 21st centry version of Hulagu's army.

The more we pull back the layers of onions in this one, the Saudis look more and more like so really bad and sleazy guys. Many of them hate America and the Israelis so much, that they contribute to OBL massive funds.
How many of the dead first wave of hijackers were Saudies or over here with Saudi pass ports? When I read that, I knew something was rotten there!
When this mess finally shakes out, the bad Saudis and Egyptians will be shown to be very vile snakes who hate us and Great Britain and would destroy us whenever possible and with whatever means!

This is probably smoke to distract us from the really bad guys in Irag No. When all this falls apart, you'll find Egypt in a central position. Not that the others are any better.
