Correction: One person My Biochem professor just got a major grant for genetic research, I think he said ten million? But he didn't look HAPPY about it, just stressed.

Baby girl due in two weeks. Like Mrs. Bootyist and Bootyist Jr., I'm very excited... though Bootyist Jr. is worried that the birth might put a cramp into his Halloween. Contingency plans in full effect just in case.

,,, on Saturday I took a long ride in a 1948 Frazier-Nash racer. This really was a silver box moment for me - I'll never forget it. Great weather; magnificent car. It's up for sale but way out of my league.

I got married a couple of weeks ago, on September 29th, and my relatives weren't scared away from flying out by the terrorists...

I woke up again today, after a good nights sleep, to a sunny Florida day. It is balmy, warmish, smells good and my heart seems to be doing it's job. These are all happy things.

My brother got the results of his final professional accountancy exam today (his birthday too) and passed with flying colours.
His achievement is even more remarkable because he sat the exam, just days after our dear Mam died unexpectedly in late August.
Mam is smiling in heaven today! *S*

Just went to the Chevy dealer and purchased the icon of American consumerism: A Chevrolet Suburban 4WD with leather and full power! Costs $50.00 to fill that sucker up!

Every day that I wake up is a great day. I am extremely blessed. I have the love of a wonderful family and great friends; I have my health, a roof over my head and enough food to feed my children. Each and every day, I have to look at things with perspective. I, too, am saddened and concerned about the state of the nation and the world, but I have to believe that the people that we elected to serve us, are doing their best and what is best for the nation. We are Americans, and the spirit of America is not one of depression, it is a spirit of faith, determination and hope.

Yes, I have some great news, that is it is great to me. My two daughters, one in 8th grade and one in 6th grade, got identical grades on their report cards; 6 A's and 1 B. And on Sept. 9, I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa.
