If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

I'd love to join the crew, but you better vote on it first. I would hate to be thrown overboard. LOL

Hi to both of you .

1) My back is soo much better, I'm able to walk all the way around the block. And then do it again.

2) Talked with the director of a great program and he wants me to join him Nov.1st! I don't have to move to a multi-cultural city in Pennsylvania.

3) My son and I have been horsing around all summer and fall

4) George Bush is the president.

Thank You Lord Jesus!

i and i'm sure millions of others were depressed, pissed, and frustrated until the bombs began falling on the murdering rats. that relieved a lot of pent up rage.

well, i did receive a box of goodies from a friend in las vegas. being in WA she thinks i am living in an ice box, lol! (it does get cold, but nothing like fairbanks or north dakota). the box contained a nice, thick shirt, a new blanket, a pack of cookies, a bag of cracker jacks, a stained glass of a kitty, an artist's magazine and a partial draft of her life story. she was a teenager in holland when the rotten nazi's took over. a funny part was when her father had a bad case of diarrhea. one day the nazi's barged into their home looking for 'fugitive's' and her father was sitting on the toilet at the time. (she said you had to actually sit there with an umbrella because the plumbing leaked). so you can just picture the poor guy jumping up to put his hands up with the umbrella. what a scene. i told her she should submit her story for publishing and illustrations, as it would be a good book for youths, along the lines of 'anne frank', who's house they actually lived close to.

we may be under attack by these scumbag fanatics and there is cause for concern, but it's mild compared to what those brutes did. hang in there, they'll NEVER defeat us!!!

Hi MOM!

You should've seen Brittan every time "Great Britain" was mentioned on the news, she'd light up and say "They're talking about me, and I'm GREAT!!"

Six years ago, tomorrow, God gave me the greatest gift, a wonderful daughter who is the light of my life, my joy, and my inspiration. She's a true blessing in my life. Thank you, God, for this precious child.

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl, mommy loves you!

My husband and I have finally been able to buy out our business partners. We have only been in business together a little over a year. For the past several months business has been great; but the partnership was miserable. After several tries we finally found a banker willing to take a chance on us (along with a SBA loan guarantee). The negotiation process was arduous and extremely nerve wracking to go through. For months now we haven't known if we were going to go out of business or be able arrange the buyout. We are so very thankful to God that we were finally able to own this business on our own. We have worked for over a year without taking one red cent of salary or profit (my husband kept his "day job" to support us), everything has been put right back into the business. But, business is growing daily and our future looks very bright.

More important than any business could ever be, we are all healthy and safe and we are AMERICANS. Life doesn't get any better than that!

The Anthrax laced envelope at Rockefeller Center was addressed to Tom Brokaw!....

Well, okay, maybe it just made me a little happy...

LOL! Did you notice how OLD Brokaw looked tonight. He must have aged 10 years or more since he had the snot scared out of him. I am enjoying the fact that all the media wh*res must be terrified right now. (I could rant about them for hours, but I want to keep this thread cheeful.)

We could truly compare notes!!
I went into The U.S. Marine Corps on 25 June 1952 - then straight from Boot Camp to being a Classroom Subjects Instructor of women recruits!
The Marine Corps at the time had 35,000 SOB (Souls On Board!) -
the greatest buildup in their history.

I was jesting, of course - there is only one Snow Bunny and we all love her!

Thanks Michigander.

Snow Bunny loves the crew and cracks up so much at your posts I ask her what are they up to now. Then she tells me how Fred Mertz is lost and LadyX and she are exercising on the deck and ofMagog is fishing. The spam thing had me in stitches as we have never bought a can at home and she asked me "I have to prepare Spam, I better go see what it looks like at the store." LOL

Yes we could compare notes, we served during the same time.

My 2-year-old (almost 3) asked me this while we were in the car: "Mom, can we listen to Limbaugh?"

I'm bursting with pride.
