If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

My daughter graduated from home school this summer and was wondering what to do next. We asked her what would you like to do if you could do anything you wanted. She said "I want to sing!" We said "Thats great, but we were talking about making a living." She had only sung once before in a church special in front of maybe 30 people. My wife prayed that she would be granted whatever would bring Him praise. About a month ago we recieved a call from a homeschool mom we met about 6 years ago. She asked us if Sarah could sing. We said "Well, she wants to!" She asked her to try out for their alto had quit. She got the position and is singing gospel at the gospel jamboree tommorrow. The lady that has the group says she is better than the one that quit and they will be making a CD soon.
God is good, all the time!

ha ha ha ha.... we will be fine, he is only going to use the lap top so I can protect things on my big one as he has to learn how to move the mouse, etc.
He will probably only post late at night while he watched Leno, Letterman and late news.
Thanks Howlin.

I bought 100 shares of Micron early today - the stock closed up 10% afterwards.
I helped you out. I bought 512mb of DDR from cruicial. My little piece of happy news is putting together a new computer with the DDR and an ECS K7S5A sis735 motherboard.

This phrase:
Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States!
I no longer feel sick to my stomach when I hear it.

I don't know if this counts as an answer to your request, but,: I am excellent, almost superb, Spiritually, Emotionally and Mentally becuae I have Christ in my life. I hope this cheers you up. I wrote it in 1981:
What Is Life?
To experience joy, even sorrow
knowing that, perhaps tomorrow
you'll have another chance to share
another chance for someone to care
To smile at a stranger and
converse with friends
to say hello, to say good-bye
and nod to passers-by
To meet with Souls
not unlike your own
to welcome loved ones
into your home
To whisper sweetness
in your lover's ear
and share the joy
of one so dear
To see the joy in a child's face
after he has won a race
to see the sun behind a cloud
that's what life is all about
There is much more I could say
but, let that suffice for today
remember this above all else
only you can improve yourself

My daughter just brought me a Dalmation puppy she found running down the highway...scared, hungry, filthy, and covered with fleas. Well, she cleaned up beautifully and is a gentle, sweet darling. I told her I'd only keep her if she wasn't a howler (she is a Dalmation, after all) and imagine, not a bark out of her. On top of this, she already cozied up to the 2-month old kitten I found abandoned in the bushes (when it rains, it pours), and they are already new best friends. Now my three-year old grandson has another new little friend, and is just loving it.
So, does this qualify as good news? :-)

The skies of America seem no longer safe. The US mail which was always slow may now be dangerous. There are many creatures (I refuse to identify them as human) in the world who would kill me simply because I am an American. All around us are rational reasons to be afraid. Do I need a tranquilizer or a shrink? Not at all! God is still on His throne and as I remember Him and relate to Him in prayer, I find a very tranquil spirit deep within my being. I will not and don't have to live in fear because "greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world". I hope that you can discover the benefits of God's presence in your lives too! It really really does work!

On the 20th my new grand neice will be 6 months old, my beautiful neice is getting married and it's my 35th high school reunion.
My youngest nephew just graduated from air plane mechanics school a couple of weeks ago, aced all his certification tests, and found a job immediately.
I discovered my male kitty is female and going to drop a litter soon. Not sure if that is good news or not - LOL!

Can't say I have any personal good news, but there is one thing for which I thank God on a daily basis:
AL GORE IS NOT PRESIDENT!

I have four fantastic teenagers ages 13, 15, 17 & 19, and one fantastic 11 year old. I have a phenomenal husband and we've been married 20 incredible years!
My oldest was in a car accident earlier this week. A nincompoop made a U-turn directly in front of my son and he crashed right into the jerk. The car is totaled.
The good news? My son is fine NOT A SCRATCH!!! His Guardian angel was watching out for him!
Thank You, Holy God!
