"There are a great many auto immune disorders - rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gall stones and kidney stones and eczema to name a very few."

Out of nowhere, about ten years ago I started being bothered occasionally by eczema. During one episode about 6 years ago, I got pneumonia. Practically overnight the eczema disappeared. The doctor told me that my body 'knew' it had to fight the pneumonia and left 'me' alone. Do you think that there could be some kind of lesson in this? I know. It's like hitting your thumb with a hammer to forget that you have a migraine headache, but what's more important?

That is a good observation! I had eczema on my hands, and it disappeared for about 6 years after I had an awful case of the flu... it appeared right after a bad flu, too. hmmmmmm... Our bodies talk to us all of the time, but we don't know how to listen. Rush's body is telling him something through deafness - ironic.
