Where are my manners?
I completely forgot to post a pic of Cheryl Ladd on this thread!

Half million might get her to think about it.
73, even in today's big numbers, is probably as far as anyone will ever go in a 162 game season.

If the Brewers ever ditch their incompetent training staffWell, Rod Carew stepped down as hitting coach (after the Brew Crew set the dubious record for most strike-outs in a season this year).
It's a start.

No one will catch up with Barry for a very long time Replace the word Barry with Mac and that same statement was made just a couple years ago by the Cardinals radio announcer.

"He'd have had 160 RBI's if Aurilia hadn't hit 37 or 38 HR's batting in front of him! That's why Barry had so many solo homers this year." Actually, if the Giants had a decent leadoff hitter, the 160 RBI's would have been likely, regardless of Aurilia's HR's. Murray and Benard were not the answer, although I had hope for Murray since he is by far the better fielder of the two.

And don't forget that Joe Dimaggio had a 56-game hitting streak in 1941. It was the last year of the really big stats for a while.
Followed by a one-armed player, the Cubs in the World Series, and Girl Baseball. They could almost make a movie out of the last one. Nobody would believe a movie about the Cubs in the world series.

And probably 120 for Aurillia and 140 for Jeff Kent, off year or not.

"Nobody would believe a movie about the Cubs in the world series."How about the St. Louis Browns in the World Series in '44?

They're either with us or against us. Who is they?No more soccer.

My bad. Musta been a typo.
He's 37.

Did you see what McCovey Cove looked like in the games against the dreaded Dodgers? Wall-to-Wall boats and kayaks! I don't think the ball would have got wet if Bonds hit one out there!
What a great achievement...especially in combination with the records in walks for the season. His slugging percentage was great too. He's the MVP

Watching #73 in flight.

"You speak the truth. And probably 120 for Aurillia and 140 for Jeff Kent, off year or not." Yep, and with that a solid bet to have won the division, although it seemed that there pitching was very hot and cold this year, much like their hitting. Ortiz and Schmitz look good, but I do not know what to make of Hernandez and Estes.
Oh well, maybe next year (without Bonds?).

Hey wonderful! Too bad the Dodgers knocked the Giants out of the post season on Friday, in spite of Bonds' record breaking night. Congrats Barry, but too bad for you Giants fans! What time is the King's tee time Monday? He said all along the record means noting if the Giants don't reach the post seaon. The fact that you lost it to the Dodgers only makes it sweeter.
