Oh well, they killed your civilians. You're killing theirs. It's a whole vicious circle of death and violence.

Okay, so where are you? Obviously yours weren't affected by their terror. Would you feel the same had they hit you and yours? If we don't respond, then it's just our deaths to tally ain't it? And you wouln't have your vicious circle would you? No, you would just have one sided death and tragedy.

Pal - Perhaps you want to live in a world where the terrorists continue to kill innocent Americans and we sit back - I don't..... But, many Americans will lose their lives to keep vermin like you safe..... in that regard I can see where some of their efforts are wasted.....

Scott - we have to remember that this "lovely" person is NOT the representation of most Americans.....but gets to enjoy the freedoms OTHERS fight to give him..... I think you call that freeloading....

We aren't trying to kill theirs. We asked, "give us Osama and his associates" which anyone would ask in a situation in which a murderer was being sheltered by a group such as the Taliban. They said "no" and now we're aiming at those who've supported the murderer, we are not aiming at the civilians.

Yep, but 10 to 1 Bush has never heard of the Battle of Lepanto, much less understand its significance.

How will he weenie out of this? I mean its not like you can go back and change the date, like they changed the name of the operation. The politically correct, let's-not-hurt-the-Muslim's-feelings crowd are gonna have a cow!

I weep for all the leftist professors. My heart goes out to all the peace freaks. Violins play drearily for the fearful students who are in anguish. O! Woe is me! My teeth gnash and I rend my shirt! Alas for the left! Their message goes unheard!

I should add that when there is collateral damage, and there will be, there is exactly one group to blame, and that is Osama and his followers. Their cowardly strategy of hit and run, hide amongst civilians warfare is designed to maximize civilian casualties.

This is Osama and his followers creating bloodshed, we never asked for this.

Sounds like you would like us to let Osama just keep attacking the US, you'd be happy if we let him be and wait for a nuke in our cities?

Among whom, I think we can number "Palavi_99." Note his/her earlier statement: "Oh well, they killed your civilians. You're killing theirs."

Note how he/she refuses to self-identify as a citizen of any particular country.

I think this is a huge problem these days, kids who do not consider their own country to be anything they identify with, apart from the material benefits it can provide them, all of it defended from historical reality for them by a despised and condescended-to military.

A lot of them or course are still college students, and ipso facto don't have the first notion of how the other world has operated out there. And of course there's the totally "value-neutral" posture (i.e programmed moral relativism), masquerading of course as "intellectual objectivity" -- the pretense of superior information, equivalency between completely non-equivalent events and deeds. Historical illiteracy, self-congratulatory pretention to superior moral insight, all-leveling generalities and ignorance of primary sources, whether contemporary or historical.

In other words the sort of squishy, soft-headed crypto-argument stle usually displayed by pampered, privileged youth during the final states of empire.

In the case of Palavi_99, I'm not at all sure he/she is an American after all. There's just no way to tell any more. There are 11 million undocumented and illegal aliens among us, so who can know?

All the best,

I agree. Anyone who thinks war is fun is either sick, or an ignoramus.

Make no mistake Roscoe is a freeper of many quotes. Problem is, he seldom if ever says what he is thinking. And unless one can interpret what he is thinking from the quotes of the famed...well it's wierd, and surely a flawed process.

Come on Roscoe, speak your mind for once.

Welcome to World War 3. FoxNews has by far the most bad ass music for the new war. I am impressed. Much more so than what MSNBC or CNN has. Amazing how CBS still is showing football through all of this.Guess they don't find the war too important.
