Greyhound Bus stopped after bomb threat call-in The bomb squad of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office is searching a Greyhound bus after the South Carolina Highway Patrol stopped the bus on an exit ramp at Highway 129 and Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County. Troopers stopped Greyhound Bus Number 2746 after an anonymous telephoned bomb threat was received at a Greyhound terminal in Atlanta this afternoon.
The bus was stopped in Spartanburg County shortly after 5:00 p.m. Troopers removed the passengers from the bus one-by-one. The passengers put their hands over their heads and were patted down by troopers, then each passenger walked to an area a safe distance from the bus. Some troopers took cover behind their patrol cruisers with their shotguns pointed at the passengers as they were searched.
Two technicians from the bomb squad of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office suited up in protective gear, then searched the bus and removed luggage from the underneath compartments of the bus. At this hour (7:50 pm), the bus is still stopped, and authorities remain at the scene.
A Greyhound spokesperson says the bus was on a non-stop run from Atlanta to Charlotte.

We'll figure out who to fight after we find out who's own our side.
Not only did they move at least a hundred elderly people out of the nursing home into the parking lot and call the bomb squad, but they had buses come in just in case they had to be taken to another facility. Again, I realize it is good to be safe than sorry, but a month ago, somebody probably could have tripped over that bag and broke their hip, and no one would have even noticed. Unbelievable.
As long as we're poking this subject with a sharp stick, what about the Egypt Air flight that ditched all those passengers? The voice recorder indicated a male praying in Arabic.Dry run? Hmmmmmmmm?
If these are some dumba$$ kids playing jokes, their butts need to be hauled into an ADULT COURT and be made to pay a high price.
Or I can find them and do it for them....;-)
That's exactly what they wanted to achieve. To create just enough doubt, to shake us out of our secure, cushy lives. Hence, the name terrorism. I think dropping a bomb or a cruise missile or something would go a long way toward helping our psyches. At least then, we wouldn't feel like sitting ducks.
Do you take medication??? If so, you missed your last dosage.....

Apparently, some people are willing to live in fear, but then they may as well move to some other country, because America is about personal freedom. And another thing, I'm getting real tired of the "government" getting blamed for this. It's just like some people blaming us, the Americans, for the deeds these other terrorists are doing. We should sit around and look inward to see why they do what they do? Someone is always looking to "blame" someone. For God's sake, let's put the blame where it belongs--with the people that do the dastardly acts.
One final thought, IF there was a breakdown in our intelligence, that did not happen overnight. Now, when Ashcroft is asking for certain things to at least close up some immediate holes, there is an outcry about losing personal freedom. Well, if no one is going to leave their houses anyway, won't fly, won't go here or there, they already have surrendered their freedom to the terrorists.
How fast, how many, where were they positioned, what was the SOP, etc.......

The A-HOLES were arrested!!
Once the truth comes out, you may find you are pretty close to right.
Oceania has always been at war with East Asia.
Oceania has never been at war with Eurasia.
Ignorance is strength!
Diversity is strength! (Oops, Orwell didn't say THAT, did he?)
I do know Ameritec has a lot of camel jockeys and other non-american types working for them. I've had to ask for a rep that I could understand several times.
Bingo.
A common technique of terrorists is to stage a diverison first, wait for police/rescuers to respond, then detonate a larger secondary device to "get" the response team....
Perhaps this was a test to measure our response....
Normally, I don't wear a tinfoil cap but these are not normal times....

How hard would it be for one of OBL's 10,000 Islamic Fascist followers over here to buy a phone card, find a phone booth, and call in a bomb threat? How hard would it be for 10 of them to do this? Or a hundred? Not just once, but 10 times each? Or a hundred times each?
And by the way: why would such activity NOT be considered terrorism? Does it only count as terrorism when somebody actually gets killed?
