Isn't it time we had a new thread since the old one was pushing 370+ replies?

My take: You don't go around calling your editors "girly-boys". That's not polite, civil disagreement. It's simply inflammatory.
I think Ann's a great columnist and says a lot of things that need to be said, but comments about her personal disagreements with Goldberg & Co. should be addressed to them, not to Maher on PI.
BTW, I think that the "convert to Christianity" bit was spot on.

She is better than them. [ Unlike Maher ]

Ann's great, but I disagree that we should convert them to Christianity. We should kill them, and bury them with rotten pig carcasses, which will apparently prevent them from going to see Allah.

GO ANN GO!!!!

" My e-mail to Nat'l Review. " Dear Mr. Lowry, I understand that you have dropped Ann Coulter as a contributor to your magazine. Just so you know, I am removing National Review Online from my favorites, I will no longer read your magazine or have access to your advertisers. If your commitment to conservatism and it's brightest voices is that shallow, then so is my commitment to your publication. Although her comments were tough, they were, as is often the case with Ann, right on the money. I am sorry you don't see that. Regards,
p.s. You should check out what your fellow conservatives around the country are saying about you. Try FreeRepublic.com, I think you'll see I am not alone in my feelings. " "

National Review didn't "fire" Ann Coulter. They are simply choosing not to run her SYNDICATED column anymore, which you can read many, many places. JewishWorldReview.com, Townhall.com and one of my local papers carry her column. Now, what they did to JOE SOBRAN, that was a firing. This is nothing. NRO isn't really in the habit of running a lot of syndicated material. They have their own writers. They don't need to buy her sophmoric stuff.

This is what I wrote:
As you have fired Ann Coulter, this will be my last visit to your site. The wimpy Goldberg Files just doesn't cut it for me, especially when one factors in that Ann could kick his butt with one hand tied behind her back.
To: careyb
I had NOT even heard this. My respect for NRO has just plummeted.
Call me a romantic, but if I could ever find an Ann Coulter out there, my life would be complete..

New thread = New pix?
To: careyb
You don't go around calling your editors "girly-boys". But editors are supposed to respect truth.
To: Crowcreek
New thread = New pix? Spare us. Ms. Coulter is an abrasive, horsey-lookin' battle-axe. She grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut and has obviously trading on her looks most of her life. She will find out soon enough how the rest of us live. Ms. Coulter turns 40 in 2002. My advice to Coulter is to stop being a primadonna and find a husband because pretty soon no one is going to want to put up with her tiresome act.
To: ouroboros
She grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut Wrong! Why don't you learn the facts before attacking her.
To: ouroboros
Besides, why do you even care where she grew up? Is this a class-warfare thing?
To: ouroboros
horsey-lookin' ... has obviously trading on her looks most of her life. You seem to be a bit conflicted.

Good point!!
And having had the good fortune to meet and converse with Ann in person, I can affirmatively declare that she is anything but horsey-looking. She is unquestionably beautiful, though very, very slender.
To: Rodney King
Wrong! Why don't you learn the facts before attacking her. Well, someone told me that. If I am wrong, I apologize for not double checking. However, it is painfully obvious that she was spoiled by her upbring. In what town was she spoiled rotten in as a child?
