Help in Compiling A Patriotic Music CD (vanity/input needed)
Posted on 10/01/2001 1:47:55 PM PDT by FlJoePa
Fellow Freepers would know more than anyone, so I am asking for some input on some entries into a Patriotic Music CD I am compiling - using only my own personal cd's - no copyright infringement, mp3 downloads here (heh heh).
What I have so far:
God Bless America - Kate Smith
Proud to be an American - Lee Greenwood
Ballad of the Green Berets - Barry Sadler
The Pledge of Allegience - Red Skelton
America, Why I Love Her - John Wayne
National Anthem - Leann Rimes
Okie From Muskogee - Merle Haggard
Battle Hymn of the Republic - Mormon Tabernacle Choir
God Bless America - Leann Rimes
America the Beautiful - Ray Charles
Facing British Lines - The Patriot Soundtrack
I would greatly appreciate any input or opinions that many of my patriotic Freeper brothers and sisters could offer.
Thanks in advance.

What about Vaus's song "You never did think" or whatever it was, the one Metcalf plays?
Actually, you might not want to use it, because he came out in agreement with Osama that God did this to America to punish us.

Don't know the exact title but Charlie Daniels had a song that I'll call "In America" which came out about the time of the Iran Hostage situation.
Being from Pittsburgh originally, I remember the line "you just go and lay your hand on a Pittsburgh Steeler fan and I think you're gonna understand."

"In America" by the Charlie Daniels Band.
Taps played by a solo bugle should be the last song on any patriotic compilation.

Don't Tread on Me, by Metallica. I don't think it's the same as the one Dan mentioned.

Battle of New Orleans, Johnny Horton

Battle Hymn of the Republic with President George W. Bush quotes from Congressional and Cathedral speeches overlayed. That would be enough to make any patriot weep!
