You Will NEVER Guess Who Colin Powell Is Consulting With!
Toledo Blade ^ | 9/27/01 | Jonathan

Posted on 09/29/2001 6:11:39 AM PDT by Jonathan

As reported in the Toledo Blade (9/27/01, sec. B, page 1), pacifist industrialist Kevin Sauder (scion of the Suader Woodworking Company) was interviewed on his pacifist stand on Bin Laden and the Moslem Conspiracy to destroy America.

In the pathetic interview he let slip that his friend and fellow pacifist, former President Jimmy Carter, called him this week to encourage him to realize we need to wage peace, not war.

Sauder stated in the article that he was ENCOURAGED TO FIND OUT FROM JIMMY CARTER THAT SEC. STATE COLIN POWELL WAS CONSULTING WITH JIMMY CARTER!

Why is Colin Powell even allowed to serve this country anymore? Why does the highest American diplomat and a cabinet officer need to consult with a failed former President? Why does the openly defeatest and supine Jimmy Carter have a conduit into the military decision making process of this country in our darkest hour????? INCREDIBLE!

"We don't want to rescue the terrorists, we want to kill them."

Perhaps they see them as "freedom fighters"?

"keep it to himself and follow GW's lead"

I am confident he will - mainly because he and the President have already gone head to head on some issues. Powell made some wild statements initially, and soon disappeared from view. Suddenly, he is visable again - I presume he has had his views thoroughly washed. He can think or believe whatever he wants; but his job is to reflect the POLICIES of the President - not his own. I'm quite confident the President has made that exceedingly clear by now.

And just think what an interesting book he can write later, about how he disagreed with the President on all sorts of stuff ... hehehehehe

Are you really surprised? Same old faces, same old crowd, same old solutions. We are in more trouble than you think.
We need MacArthurs, Pattons etc., but we get powells, carter, clintons.
Our own fault. 52% of us do not vote. We get what we deserve.
Read in between the line of some of these posters, they are concerned with "wallet" issues.

"Correction: Powell is a HUGE fool! This guy is utterly worthless as Sec. of State. I can't blame Bush from picking him in the beginning, but he's shown himself to been a liberal and a pussy when it comes to the fight! He should be fired for insubordination and the Bush should appoint Swartkoft to the job! He'd scare the crap out of anyone even thinking of attacking the US! now is not the time to have a pussy like Powell. We need eagles and hawks, not doves and canaries."

Worth repeating! ! !

"Powell may be worthless as Secretary of State as you say, but I disagree that he's a fool. He's gotta be working for someone. Question is "who?"

You and Bommer are both right. Powell's a fool working for the gang putting a world government in place - using our money and military to do it.

"We don't know who the anti-christ is"????? Well we know he's not bill clinton, nor the Pope..... Read your Bible and you will know it's satan, that old serpent called the devil. The first beast to rise out of the sea in Revelation, the sea being the mass of people, is the one world political system. The second beast to appear, "looked like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon" because he is the dragon, aka satan.....

In today's NY Times, Anthony Lewis praises Powell. If you have no idea how bad that is, I would be less worried if Jesse Jackson was praising him.

Everytime I hear Jimmy Carter's name I keep thinking how much will it cost the taxpayers. Bad enough that he was, before Clinton who was THE worst, one of the worst Presidents, but he was hired to negotiate the North Korea agreement in the early 90s. U.S. was committed to funneling millions of dollars in the country but North Korea never fulfilled any of its agreements. Jimmy Carter, bah humbug! That's one of several examples.

Sounds like the Euros have a problem with their black market.
Doesn't the majority of America's black market opium trade come from the Orient?

Perhaps they see them as "freedom fighters"?

Good point. I have no doubt there are some egg sucking dog liberals out there, who do see these terrorists as freedom fighters. I keep saying they are soldiers, out of uniform, so they are eligible to be shot on sight. We need to stop thinking of this as a law enforcement issue, and think of it as a war issue.

Take the Gulf War. Our forces crushed the Iraqi army fleeing! We were just miles outside of Bagdad! The Kurds were ready to assault from the north and we would have had Saddam found and destroyed in a month. It was Powell that said, no there's been enough killing, and let the enemy live so he could kill 7000 of US citizens!

I did not know that C. Powell was responsible for our not pursuing Saddam.
