You Will NEVER Guess Who Colin Powell Is Consulting With!

As reported in the Toledo Blade (9/27/01, sec. B, page 1), pacifist industrialist Kevin Sauder (scion of the Suader Woodworking Company) was interviewed on his pacifist stand on Bin Laden and the Moslem Conspiracy to destroy America.
In the pathetic interview he let slip that his friend and fellow pacifist, former President Jimmy Carter, called him this week to encourage him to realize we need to wage peace, not war.
Sauder stated in the article that he was ENCOURAGED TO FIND OUT FROM JIMMY CARTER THAT SEC. STATE COLIN POWELL WAS CONSULTING WITH JIMMY CARTER!
Why is Colin Powell even allowed to serve this country anymore? Why does the highest American diplomat and a cabinet officer need to consult with a failed former President? Why does the openly defeatest and supine Jimmy Carter have a conduit into the military decision making process of this country in our darkest hour????? INCREDIBLE!

Why is... Why does... Why... Love your rapid fire, staccato questioning. Without a microsecond of hesitation, I began reading these as if Gunnery Sergeant Hartman was blasting them into my face. BTW, there will be a need for Afghani home reconstruction following the war and Jimmy Carter can useful at that time and along those lines, period.

"Well, maybe they are consulting him to find out what went wrong with his rescue plans..... so they can learn from his mistakes."
Good observation.

As Rush says....peace will come when we eliminate the terrorists from this earth. There are no acceptable options to this.

If x42 were still in office, he would have already lobbed a few bombs into the desert, and declared he had won the war on terroism.
The news media would applaud.

If Powell works for Klinton he's a fool.
Powell is no fool.
Powell doesn't work for Klinton.
So, who is he working for?

You're right about Sauder furniture. It looks good, but believe me, it isn't. Falls apart if you move it. Thankfully, I don't have any, nor will I ever.

Colin Powell: "Jimmy, What would you do?
Carter: "Blah, Blah, Blah."
Colin Powell: "Great."
Powell to Bush: "OK - Here's what we're not going to do."

Correction: Powell is a HUGE fool! This guy is utterly worthless as Sec. of State. I can't blame Bush from picking him in the beginning, but he's shown himself to been a liberal and a pussy when it comes to the fight! He should be fired for insubordination and the Bush should appoint Swartkoft to the job! He'd scare the crap out of anyone even thinking of attacking the US! now is not the time to have a pussy like Powell. We need eagles and hawks, not doves and canaries.

WHATS COLON POWELL DRINKING THESE DAYS? THE BILLY BEER WENT BAD 23 YEARS AGO!

Powell may be worthless as Secretary of State as you say, but I disagree that he's a fool. He's gotta be working for someone. Question is "who?"

"...

Don't you think that the military would have thoroughly analyzed Carter's military fiascos and learned from them by now!
If you want to alibi for Carter's blunders, try a different approach.

They won't go away. There are no rules of decorum for dealing with former Presidents who don't have the grace to leave. Not dealing with them doesn't work, because they clearly intend to impart their "wisdom" to the press and America at the drop of a hat. The Logan Act applies to former Presidents, too, but Bush has manners and the press would be on the RATS side. We can't even do what every parent does with a show-off child, ignore them. The media is full of rotten children eager to cause mischief for the Bush Administration.

Carter has numerous contacts in the Sudan from his charity work there. He knows the area well.
I saw him interviewed by Brian Lamb, who asked him about the pharmaceutical plant that Clinton bombed. Carter didn't hesitate to say that Clinton bombed an innocent site - no hesitation, no smile, no room for Clinton to wriggle.
I think he had visited the place several times before as part of his humanitarian operations, and looked as certain as he could that Clinton made a big mistake.

You believe someone from TOLEDO?! I was born there, trust me, no one takes Toledo seriously. It's a hotbed of liberal idiots.
