Why on earth is a Roman Catholic Church renting their property to a Pro-Abortion, partial-birth abortion, Gubernatorial Candidate Jim McGreevey who, in addition, is against the parental notification amendment. According to the Council of Catholic Bishops, Churches and Catholics are not supposed to support or recognize pro-abortion candidates and politicians. Although the Monastery is owned by a religious order, the Brothers must abide by church teachings.

Ask the Bishop and the Brother Superior at the Monastery why they are allowing pro-abortion candidates to use Catholic Property for their political gain.

Isn't that nice!!
Oh very nice. Of course, if anyone knows the way the entrance is situated on the highway, it clearly appears as though the Church was sponsoring the event.
Good question, Coleus. Trial answer: Because some apostolic shepards and clergy of the Holy Roman Catholic Church wish it to become nothing more than a "civic club for socially-compatible families." Which is what Eric Voegelin said churches become, once they lose their soul.
And he didn't restrict this phenomenon to the Church of Rome. Reformed Chruch, indeed, all religious confessions are subject to the reductionism of spirit that can be called "doctrine" -- the summary of truth that is unlived.
Truth that is lived -- by the Holy Grace of God -- is what we call Faith.
Frankly, it upsets me to no end that ordained, sanctified lives choose to dedicate themselves to public broils like this, rather than nurturing the life of the Spirit in their communicants. Thanks for the bump -- and the post -- Coleus. best, bb.
