In perhaps the most audacious upgrade of high-speed weaponry since the introduction of the Gatling Gun, Australian inventor Mike O'Dwyer has developed a machine gun that can fire bullets at a rate of 1 million rounds per minute.

Just imagine shooting something like this at somebody. Even a scaled down version, projectiles the size of pins (or less). They'll be able to do it sooner or later.
I don't doubt it. I'm interested in seeing how they handle rate of fire and reloading. Perhaps we'll one day have single use disposable firearms just like we have single use disposable cameras today.
There's a thought, jolly. Completely within the realm of possibility.
Many are wondering about the, for lack of a better word, 'reloadability' of such a weapon.
You don't reload it. You pull another one out of your field back and proceed to kill another 100 enemy soldiers.
Just a bigger and more expensive version of this one that shoots 700 each 10.5 grain steel balls and is quite man portable and when broke open the 1.5 pounds of C-4 filler can be used for improvised demolitions and heating up your morning cup O'Joe.........

Then everything has to be replaced... Doesn't sound that useful to me.
You got that right. Anyone who knows there gun history knows that these types of guns were build back in the 17 & 1800s
The first that I can think of. Was a flintlock that was loaded the same way. Charge projectile with a touch hole were each charge was. And you slid the lock back for each shot.
But one of the things wrong was. If you did not have a good seal between each bullet in the barrel. After the first shot the flame would set the one off behind it after some delay. Like a Roman candle.
No knew ideal hear just an upgrade.
