This comes as no surprise. I remember PBS got in trouble for giving their donation list to the democrats. The only redeeming thing about PBS is Big Bird and "Frontline", which allows some great investigative shows such as "Once Upon a Time in Arkansas".(which might be the best piece ever done about Whitewater)

I am shocked, shocked I tell you!

I hope it works.

Evolution makes me wonder that if we came from apes, then why are they still here?

Just proves the fact that public money is being used by socialists, marxists and others to screw up our way of life. We always knew this, It is no surprise, but I am still shocked by the in your face attitude of these people. The clinton 8, as I callit is responsible. The country could have handled 4 years of bill and hill and recovered fairly quickly.. but 8 years left festering wounds. Let us continue to heal by exposing this infection when we find it. Great post!

A visit to the Vomitorium is in order.
Bump for later and more thorough perusal when I don't have breakfast to lose.

I'm not particularly surprised. However, I think I children should learn and understand evolutionary theory. Changes in species due to changes in genetic frequencies, competition, predation, etc. do happen. It's obviously a HUGE step (leap of faith if you ask me) to go from there to an abiotic beginning of life.
If parents are so concerned with their kid's understanding of origins, then they should do their own research and teach their own kids.

Didn't Newt & company say they were going to defund PBS after the 1994 elections?
I liked (and voted for) the Republicans when they talked like that....
To: Nora
I agree-defund Public Broadcasting but you are all wet on your evolution/creation rant.
To: Nora
I am an evolutionist, and it is my opinion that most creationist I know are deluding themselves, but thats not the point. The point is, PBS should be defunded, period. They are biased, usually quite liberally and have no business recieving government money.

I hate to ask, but how do we know that the "leaked PBS memo" is genuine and not a fabrication? Has anyone at PBS admitted that they wrote it, or are there other sorts of evidence?

I'm not smart enough to know if evoution is "for real" but the PBS series so far leaves a lot to be desired. As far as the bias; how is that news new?
To: Nora
I think a good compromise would be if children were taught how God guides the path of evolution.
Of course, the godless left would probably freak a lot more than the religious right.

PBS should be assigned to the trash...except for "Antiques Roadshow"

Your tax dollars at work.
To: Nora
Continued funding of PBS' stinking left-wing, liberal reactionary, anti-American diatribe has to end once and for all. First they are completely redundant. Second, they are utterly biased and suspect. Third, they are a major tax drain on the local and national level being only a part of the vast left-wing "public" education media that includes the equally ridiculous and squalid NPR.
To: Nora
Evolutionists behaving as propagandists? That simply should not surprise anybody; you only need to watch FR's own little clique of evolutionists for a week or two to see how it works.
