I say we take western Canada and make it the 51st State. It would give the US one huge oil and coal reserve, large timber supplies and we would own the road to Alaska.

While not old enuff myself to "remember" Dieppe (I was born after WWII), I have certainly heard of that battle, and of the great loss of life suffered by Canadian commandoes, who battled bravely against overwhelming odds. Canada has as fine a military tradition as the US, but in days to come, more than tradition will become necessary...
