Now, HOW much public/taxpayer money has poured into this national conspiracy (excuse me, "spontaneous coordinated national demonstrations") among all these "public interest" groups that are exploiting our children?
To: I_Publius
"the Brady Campaign, the Million Mom March, the National Education Association, the American Bar Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Public Health Association, the Children's Defense Fund, and the United States Student Association. "
If ANY of these organizations are listed under "charitable" organizations under IRS rules, they're now officially "political" organizations, and are no longer tax-deductible.

"Gun Industry Watch," a student-led watchdog group -- the first of its kind -- that will demand accountability from the gun industry and gun lobby."
Time for an "Education Industry Watch", a concerned citizens led watchdog group -- the first of its kind -- that will demand accountability from teachers and administrators who neglect to teach students about the Constitution of the United States.

Now that is a good idea.
Another thing we need - I'm not sure if this exists yet or not, is a listing of and some publicity for the stands that some of these non-profit organizations take. I'm sure lots of well meaning people donate to the Children's Defense Fund who would never imagine that this is what their money is being used for.
There are so many of these groups it is scary - you can almost pick any three words national, latino, jewish, black, women, children, legal, anti-gun, legal center, etc (my apologies for any ethnic group, leftists, or womyn left off the list), and come up with a special interest group with lobbyists of misinformation. Where does there funding come from, and do you think that the people funding these groups fully understand what they spend their money on?
Why aren't these groups listed as racist or sexist?
If anyone knows of a listing or monitoring of these groups, I would be glad to support any effort to advertise their positions.

I say send all one million of the million moms and the HGC folks and anyone else that thinks we should all just get along to the front lines. That should get bin what's his name laighing uncontrolably.

This year's "First Monday" film "Deadly Business," by award-winning documentary
filmmaker Glen Pearcy
Award-winning?
Emmy?
Academy Award?
Lenin Prize Award?
Sounds like some students in some decent Universities (e.g.,Texas A&M)
who know how to use guns safely for recreation and self-defense
need to start a "Anti-Gun Industry Watch".
Mercuria, thanks for the ping...sorry I'm really busy lately and don't
get on the board enough...

I wonder if their attention will include the millions of crimes thwarted every year by honest gun owning Americans?

Of course not. Acts of successful defensive gun use would be considered vigilantism, even though they aren't, and these people would rather see people die than use guns to protect themselves.

WE ARE A REPUBLIC Civics lesson noted. I was trying to get a response out, okay? The phrase "Arsenal of Democracy" popped into my head and I went with the terminology.
The distinction would have been lost on these idiots anyway.
